i tried the port longrow in glasgow last year and it was amazing. got one 2nd hand then got another for xmas. blows the doors off the one sample I got of sb px. so rich.
dia duit, well what du you think is the marvelous best longrow,i`ve 10,11,13,14,15,18 in my whisky bottle roomi haven`t opened them yet and the other question is is it worth buying the longrow 21 or the price is to high for this whisky oki doci mo mate slàinte
Great review as it confirms my biases since I have a Tawny Port unopened and I missed out on a deal for the Pinot Noir haha! Looking forward to all the other Springbanks in the bottom left
It’s gotten ridiculous, A $350 for a bottle of Springbank 10. Thanks for what you and the other reviewers do, I have to do a lot of research before buying.
@@WhiskyInThe6 Had the Springy 10 PX vs the Tawny LR in a side by side. For me the PX won but I believe the majority of Springbank fans would prefer the LR
I've bought a few of those Longrow wine maturation bottles...when they were easily available...... haven't tried any of them yet... Now they're so hard to find I don't even try... These whiskies are likely to sky-rocket in value from an investor perspective.
Rob, 82 for the Longrow 15, WOW! I rate that at nearer a 92, best of the Longrow Reds to date by a long way. Just goes to show we all take something different from our single malts.
Surprise review, I like others would have thought the 15 would be better. But to your credit 15 yo peated malts lose much if their smokiness. Good call .Grazie ciao 👋 S.
@WhiskyInThe6 every palettes different my friend. I've only had the SB 10 and 18. I own 18, kilkerran 12, LR red 10 malbec, and a 2022 campbelltown loch. They're all delicious but the LR is my favorite.

thats crazy such bottles didnt get 90s from you, but I love your honesty.
I do enjoy them just not enough to justify the price

The 18 2022 is fabulous

Definitely have to get to those.
Hi Rob, you can actually get these in Australia at the moment, A$500 each! Thanks for your review, still a bit pricey for me.
That’s insane.

Longrow 11 Tawny is really good. I also get creamy, Strawberry note with hint of savory flavor (bacon).
Ya it’s a beauty
Rob, great H2H. Have only had the 15 year Pinot Noir and enjoyed more than you did. Very nice fresh red fruits to work with the peat and funk. CHEERS!
The Tawny beats it up pretty good when side by side. Probably best to have that one alone.

Rob, i found a longrow red 10 year sherry on a shelf at a small liquor store in Az…$165.99
Could it be worth a buy at price in your opinion?
Are you sure it said sherry?
If it’s a sherry 10 yr Longrow you should grab it because it’s most likely a single cask.
@@WhiskyInThe6 hmmm…
Ok interesting
Usually 10 year bottlings above $100 i dread to pull the trigger on but i trust your opinion good sir!
@@WhiskyInThe6 I thought it was sherry but i will definitely verify

Anything from the Springbank distilleries have major upside.

I’m sure some people love this one. Cheers bello 🙏🏻
I predict Awesome and More Awesome
Ya not bad
why do I get the feeling that you'd hands down get more enjoyment out of the loch Lomond 12
100% lol
@@WhiskyInThe6 there ya go 🤣
I wish I could find another longrow red 😢
They’re probably my least favourite of all the Springbanks.

For me: Pinot Noir > Tawny Port
Makes sense
@@WhiskyInThe6 But both are good... I just believe that I had too many exPort finished whiskies during the last year
