Arena: Kanji thinks of the game as a dream and is a bit more blunt with how feeling towards Naoto who in turn is reveptive to it...
And now I realize it's mostly Kanji who shows affection towards Naoto and make moves, with P4Dancing with Nanako teasing them if Kanji and Naoto dance together or when Naoto notices that Kanji blush and he gets all embarrassed about it
And Ultimax pairing them together during the story
I guess they really wanted to paint a picture of Naoto being hyperfocused in her job and Kanji trying to get her attention

I instantly liked Yukiko the second the gag glasses showed up. I laugh at the whackiest shit, and I tended to laugh at things that she found funny before I even saw or heard her laughter. Yukiko the type of girl who'd laugh at Wide Putin memes.

1. The purest examples of a Yamato Nadeshiko in the Persona series
2. The tights really show off her legs.
3. Absolute goddamn powerhouse in the dungeon crawls
4. Complete dork
5. Fire Boost + Fire Amp + (with a few bike trips) Mind Charge/Concentrate = Explosions that would make Megumin proud

7. She's crazy/brave enough to wield a fan in the TV world

When I first started playing, I leaned towards her as my in-game waifu, but didn’t want to make any decisions until later. Then I heard her laughing fit. I was all in from that moment forward
My gamer intuition told me she was gonna be best girl even before I started playing.
I was gonna go with her myself on the first playthrough but apparently hugging someone and comforting them when they are crying means you like them or something so I got stuck with rise. :(

If you count the times she says it in Rank 10, the dates you have in your room after maxing her out, Christmas, Valentine's Day, her 3rd awakening, AND when the protag leaves, then yeah, I'd say that she definitely says "I love you" or something along those lines the most out of all 4 girls in Persona 4.
I had a REALLY hard time picking who to romance for future playthroughs, but after seeing this and thinking about it long enough, I'm going for Yukiko and never looking back. Rise is a CLOSE second for me, but it doesn't feel as natural as it does with Yukiko.
With Rise, you save her, and then she likes you SUPER FAST after that. It's like she immediately latches onto you without the more realistic aspect of slowly getting to know you before deciding if she does, and that's off-putting. (It seems like they handle this better in the anime).
With Yukiko, you save her, and then you take the time to slowly build a relationship from the ground up. I can appreciate that a LOT more.

I always seem to go towards the same type of characters. Mitsuru, Yukiko & Makoto.
And both Mitsuru & Yukiko's love portrayed if you pick them is *so* strong and intense, sadly, it made Makoto's pretty weak in comparison.
Fun Fact: In the first draft of Persona 4, Yukiko was the murderer. They changed this because they didn't want to take away a party member.
This is why she tries to solve all her problems with cold blooded murder.

She was my go to choice for romance on my first play through, I really like her character, I was so surprised to find out she was considered to be the most boring character in the cast by the fan base.

@@petemadrona2252Well, she kind of is when next to Chie, Naoto and Rise. The Priestess besides Mitsuru has this problem where they’re not as engaging as their peers in a Social Link.
Granted, Yukiko’s was written well and does add depth to her character but compared to say Rise’s; it’s not really blowing you away either. Then there’s the fact she was going to be the killer which is an idea that’s full of intrigue by itself.
Though, it’s *worlds* better Makoto’s in P5/P5R which might anger her stans if they read this. At least it’s actually about her and doesn’t suffer from having the good character stuff be done by the main plot that leaves the SL lacking. Yukiko’s does build off from what was mentioned or stated in the Castle Arc and elaborating on those details while Makoto’s barely acknowledges her passive role in the whole Kamoshida mess which her game has forgotten about as well after she gets a Persona and it’s just about her friend meeting a boyfriend who shocker is an asshole.
It’s not a bottom tier one for sure.
Yukiko was my first and is almost best girl... almost. Definitely one of the best relationships tho in game and she'll always hold a special place in my heart fro being there with me on my first playthrough. Plus her abilities are unmatched and I almost always use her on my team for her excellent healing. 10/10 will always Yukiko.

I love when Yukiko gets some credit as being a waifu, I also just recently made a Yukiko video and would be honored if you'd give it a watch.
It wasn't until my third play through that my appreciation for Yukiko's character blossomed
I feel like if they ever made a canon relationship for P4, it'd probably be Yukiko just so they could have her whole "Running the Inn with Yu" fantasy be their cameo appearance in a later game, it's like, the easiest way to have Yu come back as a cameo with little contrivance...

Finally some love for yukiko, even before I played this gae people on Internet were saying how bad she was, I never got it she is definitely a good love interest in persona 4. Heck he isn't my favorite choice in the game and I still thinks she's great.

Just wanna say that in my headcanon Yukiko actually leaves with the MC as she teases on May 20th,cause it makes a lot more sense for me considering that 8 of her s-link events are about becoming independent with the help of others, _leaving the cage_ and being someone beyond her name and then S-Link 9 exists and "Guess what i want to be the next manager now"(I know is not that simple but it really felt out of place when i saw it).I know why this didn't happen cause it will need a new ending and a whole new .png of her on the train on the next scene but....i dont know those special dates scenes(Valentines,Christmas Eve,New Year and Summer Festival) just made me want more of that side of her

She’s technically the first waifu we rescued; we fight Shadow Chie first but she wasn’t kidnapped, she just went with us and we encountered her shadow before we got to save Yukiko.
