SIPHONS in PARADISE on the Vecchio | Kayaking in CORSICA

Just before driving back to Ajaccio to catch the ferry, Mylo and Eliot decided to test their luck on the Vecchio. The Vecchio River is the biggest Corsican classic on the island, with siphons, crystal clear water and big boulders around every corner, you have to keep your focus on.
"We had a really nice water level of 2m droppinng to 1.92 at the end for our personal first Ds, it's an incredible run, we ran it safe, portaging the really risky stuff and bagging the Middle and Lower sections in 3 1/2 hours. Was great to complete the river after having done the crazy Upper section (although it was low) the year before."

Most excellent. I paddled that in 1992. The big syphon on the overhanging slab/ boulder was there 31 years ago too ! A friend got far to well acquainted with it that say 😮
