Just a thought. Take the skirts off, move the fuel tanks back under the sleeper and get toolbox steps under the driver and passenger door
That's a good idea that would look good
Check Gilmore in Iowa Park, TX for parts. They have acres of trucks, and at least a couple of FLDs by the highway.
Also grade 8 bolts nuts washers for what ya can't see and stainless for what you can see unless what you're securing is blind mount. Just some thoughts.

It's coming along. Get the grill ASAP.
Careful coming into and out of driveways with that 20 inch bumper. You'll mess it up right quick and much easier than you think. Also avoid mud holes pot hole standing water you can't see the bottom through that'll bend em up as well

We always change the air dryer cartridge when the annual inspection is due. I think that grill will make the engine run a little warmer. Don't sell the FLD. I'd drive it.

I would put a piece of stainless below the rivets on the sleeper and cover the hole where you but in both sides that would look really good i think

I'm happy to see you working on the truck, but someone put that exhausted there because it wasn't there from the factory it was probably out back. Can't wait for that grill to be gone. Can't wait to see it all done. For the steps try 4 state trucks.com i think i seen them for around $400.00

Is it me or does the second belt from the inside of the passenger steer tire look like it wearing unevenly?
you need to find a large Q to attach to the grill and then zip tie barbie dolls to it that way you can call it a custom Barbie Q grill. keep the haters hating . looking good

Also and this is just my opinion I'd put the truck together AFTER it was blasted sanded n painted. Far more likely to muck up chrome n stainless putting it on n taking it off all the time. Not to mention exhaust is usually pretty hard to disassemble once assembled and mounted. Just my experience with my 8 inch exhaust on my 379. Bitch to take apart once on. I did it ONCE. NEVER AGAIIN ILL JUST BUY NEW SET. LOL

New grill. Can find one in a yard. 50 bucks. Flares. Can be repaired. Keep save on fuel price Cut inner pipe. Tuck stacks in another fuel saver. Hood needs love. Tim might have new hood or parts, brackets All you need. Paint you want the best. We’ll get a good painter has booth no outside bullshit work. Couple you tubers doing that one guy he has a big shop on you tube.

Please tell us the fleet truck doesn’t have the Maxforce Engine, I drove one years ago, the wiring harness was crap and DEF system was garbage, complete headache.

Those side skirts are super ugly! My advice, if those tanks are all the way to the front, sell/swap them and look for some slightly shorter chrome/polishedtanks so you can put proper box steps (again my preference would be chrome, but you do you) on there. Would look much nicer, like a classic XL..Have you considered looking for a cheap XL bonnet? It should just fit right on and personally I prefer that look to the FLD look, and it would solve your grill issue, but5 again, you do you mate.
