@@letshavefun1015 EXACTLY! Autotune is how utau works partially. When a note is out of the prerecorded range, it tunes it up digitally. This is how the voice bank was created, too. The original speak' and spell did not include more than its monotone voice. The guy that made this had to put the audio into audacity or something similar and tune the recordings to each individual note.

Not all UTAU's are bad, the problem is UTAU is kinda hard to work with, Meiji and Renri have high quality voice banks but some people doesn't know how to use the program, even the better voice bank can be corrupted.

oh yeah i probably saw that coming XD but even my samples of the English one still messes up like basically its unbearable
So I'm going to guess that if you make certain words, you can record that word, snip the start segment out to get the phonetic or whatever.
for example kitten > snip end off > ki

Texas Instruments also made the SN76489 sound chip used in the Sega Master System's first Japanese incarnation (SG-1000) which Sega cloned for all future Master System models as well as the Sega Genesis. Also, the SN76489 was used in the Colecovision, BBC Micro, IBM PCjr, IBM PS/1, Tandy 1000, Coleco Adam, Tomy Tutor, Sharp MZ-800, BBC Master, Bandai RX-78, Geneve 9640, Memotech MTX, Neo Geo Pocket, Neo Geo Pocket Color (the Neo Geo Pocket and its color successor both used Toshiba clones that had less limitations), Sega Game Gear, Sega SC-3000, Sega Pico, Toshiba Pasopia 7, VTech CreatiVision, and of course Texas Instruments's own TI-99 series machines, which the chip was originally designed for. The Coleco Adam and Sega SC-3000 are both essentially TI-99/4A machines with a Zilog Z80 CPU instead of Texas Instruments's own TMS CPU. They are home computers that have the same SN76489 sound chip and TMS9918 video chip as the TI-99/4A. Also, the Colecovision and SG1000 and their computer versions are effectively the same machines and are made from the same off-the-shelf parts, largely Texas Instruments parts. They aren't completely the same, but there was a Colecovision clone that was also compatible with Sega SG1000 games due to the use of the same core chip. The Colecovision has more RAM than the SG1000 and has a BIOS. But that's one of the few differences. But yes, the Sega systems heavily trace their legacy back to the Texas Instruments sound and video chips in the TI-99/4A. Apparently Nintendo inspired the NES video chip off of the Colecovision due to how well it was able to represent Donkey Kong. The audio portion of the NES CPU was originally going to be closer to the SN76489, but very late in its development, the third square wave was converted into a 4bit triangle wave via using what would have been the square volume control. This is why you can't change the volume of the NES triangle without utilizing a quirk in the NES DPCM+PCM channel. Also, the SN76489 has 4bit volume too. Thanks to a quirk in the chip, it's possible to play back audio samples on it by sending them to the volume control with nothing playing. People have gotten this to work on all 4 channels at the same time, essentially creating a 4bit Amiga MOD player on the Sega Master System. This is only possible because of an accidental chip design quirk by Texas Instruments. However it is the reason why some Master System games even have speech at all.

I've heard this before on a video a few years ago but I thought it was just a normal Vocaloid/Utau/Synth with a filter on it... The fact that a Speak and Spell can make an already dark song sound so much darker (Especially with the extra added lyrics) just amazes me.
