Not only does Melanie Moore look like Ginnifer Goodwin, she sounds like her too. They need to act together as sisters or something because the resemblance is uncanny!
If you go to the box office when it opens on the morning of the show they sell $37 rush tickets. That's what I did and my seat was in the center of the orchestra. Many people don't know this and the discounted tickets through other agencies are like $88. It's well worth that but I couldn't afford that either right now, definitely worth $37!
Okay... Melanie Moore has an amazing voice! And seeing as how she's primarily a dancer... that makes the surprise of it all the more amazing. Oy ve'... who knew? She should run for office.
What's really annoying is she's also an amazing artist - a painter. i think she majored in art in college. A ridiculous amount of talent for one person.
When I saw Fiddler in Melbourne in 2007..... Topol was playing Tevye.... One of his last productions.... It was a lifelong dream come true..... Seeing him do If I Was A Rich Man live was amazing.
Funny when I clicked on the video, I thought it Was gonna be the original sisters from the movie but it's all good, really awesome singing ladies, you brought another great version of the song
SO wonderful to see these clips...I'd do anything to be able to come to NYC with my husband and see this on Broadway!! Sounds and looks so wonderful! :-)
To me the 1971 film soundtrack was the best Recorded version of the music. But this is great nonetheless. Sadly the Original Zero Mostel Broadway Soundtrack Recording missed my favourite song, the Chava Ballet Sequence (Little Bird).
4:30 the great Sheldon Harnick. With the passing of Stephen Sondheim, only Mr. Sheldon Harnick and John Kander are the only ones left of that incredible group of Broadway composers/lyricists of the 50's - 80's era.
Research answered my question: it's Sheldon Harnick, the original lyricist, who has been advising the current production. www.npr.org/2014/04/30/308276626/at-90-fiddler-lyricist-tells-his-story
What's up with you? They weren't performing in front of an audience. It was a recording studio. Did you want them to be dancing around the room? The orchestration was superb!
@@manhattan123 Maybe I am. "Low energy" is far from an accurate description of the orchestration. I don't understand what you were expecting. Steel guitars? Percussion? Are you one of those who are quick to criticize everybody else because you think of yourself as "perfect"? If so, please post a video of you in an orchestra and let's see your high energy.
@@Jenny_1158 Aww so you are a sad sack? As I said, they were superb, but just low energy. I've seen plenty of studio recordings where the orchestra actually seems to be enjoying themselves. It's okay. The world needs sad sacks too. Bless you.
Alexandra Silber's voice makes me think she would be successful singing jazz or blues. Her voice is very soulful.
And maybe not right for this? Totally out of character in my humble opinion... but oh well, just a different approach. Still a stellar performance
I love these queens. People talking about the Schuyler sister but in over her like boi these queens.
these sisters WALKED so the Schyler sisters could run
I love them so much their little faces and hand motions and interactions im LIVING
Alexandra's little knuckle pop right before her Yenta cracks me up every time!
Alexandra isn't my favorite Tzeitel, but omg here voice is so amazing! A voice made in heaven, thats for sure!
Melanie Moore is just perfect
SAMANTHAS VOICE HOLY FUCK
Not only does Melanie Moore look like Ginnifer Goodwin, she sounds like her too. They need to act together as sisters or something because the resemblance is uncanny!
These ladies are phenomenal. I wish I could afford to see this live.

Melanie!!!!!!! Who knew???? You dazzled me as a dancer who told stories now, you sing like an angel! Mazel

Holy carp. Didn't know Melanie could sing!
Who knew???! So pleased for her!!!
Just saw the show last week!! It was absolutely phenomenal! Everyone should go if they have the chance, definitely not a disappointment.
So fortunate to have seen this production. Loved it so much! Alexandra Silber as Tzeitel and Adam Kantor as Motel were perfectly adorable as a couple.
+Dianna Anderson I wonder how she learned to sing because I thought she sung well.
+Ashley anna I agree she sung well... I can't sing a lick so I know she did awesome.. I'm dying to get to NYC to see this!!
Ashley anna the young lady that sang as Chava has pretty vocals
No way - she's amazing!
I have to yet watch a live musical production of Fiddler on the Roof. Love this.
It's worth every penny!!!
How could anyone dislike this!!
When I saw Fiddler in Melbourne in 2007.....
Topol was playing Tevye....
One of his last productions.... It was a lifelong dream come true..... Seeing him do If I Was A Rich Man live was amazing.
saw Him in the Sydney run, Barry MacKenzie as lazar Wolf and Maggie Kirkpatrick as Yente. Great Show!

Like chocolate this just melts in the mouth.

Just saw it last month and it was absolutely amazing! Such beautiful voices :)
Saw it yesterday
Incredible rendering! BRAVO! From Paris France, how excellent exciting rendering VERSION! MERCI BEAUCOUP from Paris France
I just realized Hodel sounds so much like Cinderella from Into the woods
Wow very beautiful and powerful voices have have Goosebumps and a smile 💜😊

Goodness, I only know Melanie as a dancer... What a cute Chava
Wow these people have phenomenal voices
Does anyone else keep replaying the ending?

Alexandra Silber would be an awsome ursula from the little marmaid!
You read my mind.

Melanie is now a true triple threat. Bravo!
The movie seriously has some good music.
Melanie Melanie Melanie Melanie. I love her so so so so much. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Jesus, the lady with the curly hair can wail like a pro.

Wow. What voices.
Can't wait to see this
just fantastic...
trying out for this in a few days and idk if I should go for tzeitel or hodel. I have yet to actually watch the movie but which one has a bigger role?
Both are about the same but Hodel is the meatier role.
Pure gorgeous....
I'm at least 47 of the views on this
wayyy more than that now
Loved ❤️
wonderful i love it
So much for the turn-of-the-century setting. All three are giving by-the-numbers MT major performances.

FAB!!!!!! From LOS ANGELES.
Can it be three years ago? (in March) .... my goodness
Am I the only one who thinks Samantha Massell is similar in voice and face to Jewel Staite?
Who's the mensch in the chair, giving a thumbs-up at the very end?

👏👏👏👏👏👏
Aww, they skipped the riff before Tzeital starts singing :(
I think alex's voice overpowers the others... I don't like that
So! Find her a match already, will yuh? LOL
They are great. What's up with that orchestra though? What a low-energy group of sad sacks.

Yeah, it was superb. But what part of low-energy didn't you get? Are you one of the sad sacks? Awe. Sorry.
