@@reallifemomandwife I did it in junior kindergarten!! We raised monarchs, watched them eat, make cocoons, and turn into butterflies and got released. And in senior kindergarten we hatched chicken eggs!!
I remember when I was helping take care of 4 year olds that were super loud and rowdy before lunch, my co teacher and I say them down at 2 tables and said whichever table was quietest would be served first. That room was the quietest I’ve ever heard it, aside from the occasional giggles to each other.
We tried raising Caterpillars in grade 2, 3 and 4 and every time they died and we had to take a whole class to mourn their deaths. My class never recovered from it.
Ah love that fact as a quiet person growing up I would like the rule too. Loud noises used to and sometomes still do bother me. Much less than it use to be though. It does depend on the sounds to a fire truck or police car is ok but loud alarms and kids screaming bothered my ears Seems is I know a noise is coming it is ok
U should do a vid where you plan a Halloween party before heathers mom can! And make it really fun unlike normal "no gluten, sugar, dairy, or peanuts!"
There is actually a caterpillar species where this is true. Whenever they hear loud noises they start shaking the branch they are hanging on to scare off predators, but this is very exhausting for them so if it happens to often they die.
If you don’t understand she tells the kids to be quiet for the caterpillars but she actually just makes them be quiet because they don’t know she just wants them to be quiet!
Story time! 😀 Once in 3rd grade we raised some caterpillars to butterflies! Wholesome right? WRONG THE SECOND WE LET THEM GO A SWARM OF BIRDS CAME AND ATE THEM.. pretty traumatic for a bunch of 8 year olds...
My 2nd grade class woulda been mass murderers if that was the case we always had like 10-12 caterpillars and we were super loud not all the time but I know we were loud because we were the only class in that area and it didn’t affect anyone but maybe the caterpillars 😭. Those caterpillars always turned into butterflies and if they needed help or anything my teacher would always care to them and nuture them it seems like a very easy hobby
Ok but why do ALL Second grade’s have a butterfly unit and they bringing caterpillars and wait for them to turn into butterflies and then release them specifically monarchs
My fifth grade class wanted to do a water gun fight for the end of the year but the school would let us because they’re “guns” literally the whole grade wanted to we didn’t get to do one 😢
@YourLocalBestie Lying to kids is wrong, and can destroy their trust in the future. I know this, because it happened to me. That’s what I’m trying to communicate. I can’t even begin to understand how hurt a child could be finding out a teacher staged something like this, and spreading false information about animals like that, especially to impressionable children, is also wrong. I apologize for my strong words, I really am sorry for that, I do sometimes struggle to communicate, I just don’t want any of those kids to suffer the trust issues I did.
If the caterpillars are butterfly larvae then it’s a chrysalis not a cocoon. If they’re moth larvae then congratulations you were right it is a cocoon.
I hope Heathers mom keeps it quiet for the caterpillars😂
You know she’ll ruin it for the teacher because, how dare you lie to my precious angel!? 😅
@@reallifemomandwife 😂
@@reallifemomandwifeHii btw
I remember we grew caterpillars into butterflies and when they were ready to release we all went outside and let them go, it was super pretty
That’s actually so lovely!!
When your younger brother told you about doing that 2 weeks ago…. Good times am I right
omg i remember that in like 2nd grade it was so fun! i remember a butterfly landed on my hair but i was terrified of it as a 2nd grader so i screamed

Elementary teachers around the world are laughing at this one. Wondering what Heather’s mom is up to now🤨
Hahaha you’ve met one or two over the years, right?? 😝

Heather's mom will be super loud for the caterpillars 😜 and probably say it's not true in front of all the children
Oh she’d for sure be upset about the lie!!
When she said: YoU GoT To Be KiDdInG Me😂😂😂😂😂😂 and also last week we grew caterpillars❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Aww how exciting!!
@@reallifemomandwife it was awesome

@FaithSmall-ry5el We've survived this long but the journey was hard. We gave them names
Aww that’s so sad!

You’re right, that would be a positive outcome with that kind of rule ❤
That's what my teacher did
Smart teacher 😂
Also, feels way to illegal to be third
Thanks for being here!❤

Thank you so much Savannah!
Finally someone who does a part two!
I remener when i was in junior infants (in Ireland) we kept caterpillars and then we released them and it was so cool

Haha agreed 😊
Genius great way to keep the children quiet
The caterpillar thing was clever
Smart teacher

When I grew caterpillars they tuned to butterflies and then we set them free
That Teachair created a smart way for kids to stay quiet-
My class had painted lady butterflys and when it was time to set them free mine stayed in my hand till I found a place to put it

The teacher: yes the loud noise can kill it so i brought it to loudest place possible
Oh my God this is literally what is happening in my kindergarten class
Haha amazing! 😊

As a Pre-K teacher this is true. Loud noises can in fact kill caterpillars.
Um…but if she did this and the students got rowdy, would she be forced to brutally murder her caterpillars and frame Heather’s mom?
Hahahaha can you imagine 😂🙈😭
Now I gotta know
I'm in second grade too
This wouldn't work irl there would be that one kid who walks up to it and screams at the top of his lungs
I feel like Heather's mom broth a bouncy tower or a dog/cat
