Eye of winter + wither on hit + any source of added dmg as chaos is the best way hands down I have it on a "cast on minion death", but you can just self cast it
Hey I just want to mention this because I think you misrepresent dark effigy a little bit in this video; the higher your investment in chaos damage dots as a kit, the better dark effigy becomes. If you stack multiple sources of chaos dot on a target, you get an additional projectile for each additional source of chaos damage over time. So when you stack poison, contagion, essence drain, and another spell like hexblast for example supported by the chaos dot support, you end up with a totem that fires an incredible number of projectiles and stacks and maintains wither better than any other source of wither in the game, so long as you remain in range of the totem.
@@ryandugan9176 that’s definitely the case but I think that the majority of builds only run 1 or at most 2 dots at a time but like I said it’s build by build. Some builds will prefer one over another.
@MisoxShiru despair (with decaying hex) vine arrow and poison will give you 3 dots to cap out at 50% debuff using dark effigy. Since your using decaying hex anyway and vine arrow basically is free, I'm not sure why you rain of arrows is ever better for bosses. And for mobs and bosses I find effigys "taunt" effect super useful for doing whatever you want when you want to
@@TiberiusKaneMoriarty at the end of the day its all preference and varies from build to build as I mentioned in the video. I personally like the flexibility that ROA provides since you don't have to be stacking all those dots to make it work, like sometimes a tankier rare mob i can just roa and attack instead of having to set up the totem and drop 2+ dots on it, though its def less of an issue now in the late game, leveling up it was something i needed to do.
Took %phys into chaos dmg for minions on tree and put wither on zombies. 10 zombies can create a sustained 50% wither very fast but, one major downside is it's a bit situational even when using empowered zombies.
Boss, Toxic Bloom not scales with Attack Speed, it scale with Move Speed, i have 3.88 Attacks per sec with Basic Bow Shot and Toxic Bloom just can't go under 1sec Attack Time!
I realized the skill is called Toxic Growth and not Toxic Bloom! Sorry if this causes any confusion!
So i was just trying this about 4 hours ago and it has not apply any stacks for me.

What minions are you using to proc it, i also thought about using cast on minion death for my curse.
@@jinkxy2370 I use skeletal brutes, but I use them for damage with corpsewade

Adding "Holy Descent" support gem into toxic growth makes the jump worth the risk by healing on landing

I can get up to 3 DoTs of Poison, but it runs for a very short amount of time, then I have to reapply poison. Mostly, I only get up to only 2 DoTs.

can you put chance to poison on toxic growth and cast twice to pop itself?
Another great video - thank you :)

eye of winter with pure chaos node.
noob question, wich support gem make you apply whiter with rain of arrows?
Withering touch, added chaos damage

@@niero85 only works if you deal chaos damage with rain of arrows
how about withering presence?
Only applies 1 stack (7%) for few seconds and it does not do it again on the same target, not worth it

it does scale with it. if you take off all of your attack speed gear, it is way slower. there might be a cap to how fast it goes though.
Un;eash eye of winter if it has chaos damage is also good
did try a lot skills with dat gem but not growth, ty
