What Is Winter Like When Living In Indianapolis Indiana? Good question and it's certainly one we hear often. Especially if that person is not from the midwest. If you're thinking of moving to Indianapolis Indiana, a true midwest winter is something you will experience. When living in Indianapolis the winter is just part of experiencing all four seasons... which is a positive thing about living in the midwest... in my opinion.
The winter in Indianapolis isn't as bad as what many people think. It's not my favorite season but I certainly do enjoy some of it. I like the variety it brings. When living in Indianapolis you'll get hot summers and cold winters. The spring and fall offer relief and rescue from both. I've been living in the Indianapolis area since 1997 and I have to say that I wouldn't want to live anywhere that doesn't experience all of the seasons.
