The "fly more" combo includes a 3-battery set, with a fast charger and case -- so you get nearly 90-mins. of flight time in a pkg. that costs less than $100 more than the 1-battery version.
The camera footage is spot on, im impressed with this drone and you can get one with 3 batteries and the charging case, carry bag for just over 300, its a no brainer to buy this drone
You can increase the gimbal speed! It's default to 10% and goes to 100%! I find anything more than 20% tho becomes to fast for the 30fps to be smooth motion.
I'm on the verge of pulling the trigger on this... but the version with the carry case and the extras... but like you say... the controller. To fix that I'll probably get a dedicated phone just for the drone, which will fit comfortably in the carry case. That's STILL a lot cheaper than the DJI and the features are more than enough for my simple needs.

No it can't. The best DJI drones struggle with active-track in front. Basically optical tracking only works behind you. Every time I see people try parallel or in front they crash their drone. It's a great feature to get nice dynamic close quickshots, but if you ride a bike and want to get somewhere that day it sucks. But it can with GPS follow-me. If it is the right what I call 'compass' type. Then it will stay north south west east relative to you. Even without obstacle avoidance I myself and others much prefer follow-me. I just put the drone high and far enough wherever I want and steer it with the sticks if needed.
Thing I don't like about Lipo batteries is that you need to discharge them before you store them else they can be pretty dangerous otherwise. Personally when the DJI Mavic Mini introduced the Lithium Ion-based 18650 batteries I was relieved.

Are you the guy who bought the twizzy a few years ago and then ramped up its power ? This drone is right up my street, I flew my mates sons DJI mini 3 pro a few weeks ago and was hooked, but I can’t afford the money for one of those. This seems very straight forward to use with a very good camera and battery life. I bought an el cheapo off eBay for £40 to get used to the controls but its camera is piss poor and it only flies for about 6 minutes 😂
Footage looks good although I wouldn’t say it’s super budget. I’ve just ordered a cheap one - A C-Fly Faith 2 Mini Drone which is brushless, GPS & has a 3 axis gimbal plus some good reviews. £113 delivered. I’ll be interested in how good that one is. Have you had any experience of it?
Sounds interesting, not seen it. What's the wireless link? I'm betting they use WiFi for that price which may or may not work well... usually not that well in my experience.
@@andykirbynot sure but it’s supposed to have a ‘3km range with advanced anti interference technology’ and also features a Sony CMOS sensor. I’m not expecting the earth but if It can produce good still shots, watchable video, can deal with a bit of wind and have a reasonable run time (supposed to be 26 minutes) I’ll be happy. I’ll let you know if it’s any good👍
@@markbennett6658 £113 is really cheap for a C-Fly Faith Mini. It's a nice drone overall. Calibrates compass by itself. Good FPV range. But if you yaw the 25fps video isn't smooth. My biggest problem is the follow-me not working like it should. I thought it would for my bike rides.
Oh I see a couple dogs, we'll stay away from them.... So do you turn the drone before moving.... no, instead you start moving in their general direction!! lol! So where is the comparison video to the DJI Mini? Considering the DJI Mini 4K is the same price I'd buy it before a brand I don't know enough about. Plus the DJI Mini 2SE is a little bit cheaper but thats because it only does 2.7K video or something like that. Which still looks good! As you said it looks promising and I will be watching them in the future but you know how it is with brands, as soon as they get popular their prices go through the roof.

More like a mini original. Ya, the 3 pro is quieter at 50 ft as the mini 2 is at 150 feet. edit: Kinda funny seeing Chinese DJI get cloned by a Chinese company eh? However, I dont believe DJI itself ever cloned anyone, just seen a gapping hole for a reliable, semi strong drone. Sure hope the US senate doesnt ban them, but its not looking good for DJI. 😐
@@fromabove2024 and the atom has no obstacle avoidance making active track and waypoints only safe in an open space as any obstacle is a certain crash which is the reason mini 2 and mini 2 se do not have it also if you have a crash or problem with the drone it's almost impossible to get it repaired
Looks more like a Mini 2 to me. The Sat loss and red warnings were concerning, I think you should have explained what they mean...Fly it over some Houses and WiFi clutter, lets see how good it really is....For another £130 you could have the real thing, a Mini 2, thats how I see it...Onboard footage looked okay though TBH....I think it deserves another look TBF, more in depth....🤔😳😮😏🇬🇧
Yes, right but the mini2 is no longer available so the nearest DJI model is the mini3, I'm talking to them about the attitude thing so will make another vid talking about this soon.👍🏼😁

Vlos for me is having no obstacles between me and the drone ,not the distance i can see the drone !!! If it was the case what the point off drones with more than 200 meters distance ,since we cannot see it anymore !
As a DJI mini 2 owner when I bought the drone everything works perfectly......and then came the firmware update and tons of issues came out, slow satellite pickup, range 10 meters and the connection lost, RTH not functioning properly.....and basically when you buy a DJI, DJI still owns the drone.

Old vid, but yes, the battery from the SE does fit the Atom, but its 20g heavier. The SE battery weighs 100g. The Atom battery weighs 80g

mini 2 SE does NOT shoot 4k(2.7k@30 max) while Atom does and is more comparable to mini 2 but at a much better price point

The DJI lipo batteries discharge themselves automatically if left for a little while. It's a very advanced BMS.
Really anywhere between 40 and 80% is fine

I’ll answer my own question. It only records on the phone with normal screen record.

Cfly 3 axis 5klm isn't cheap.. Was worth a few more $ for this one since there are tons more reviews for the atom
