Nice job on rocking all over the world
Ps 4500 times live is a must
Quo 1970 playing gotta go home highly recommend
Such talent. Give them anything they just make it work.👏🥳
It's a bit of a surprise that you reacted to this one. It's from '96 when they hadn't quite got themselves out of the doldrums of having a bit of an identity crisis. They had chart success with, 'The Anniversary Waltz', a few years before, which was an amalgam of covers formed into a medley. And their producer and record company at the time thought it was a good idea to release an entire album of covers. The first of 3 in total. Each one getting progressively worse, it has to be said. By the time they released the third one, they didn't want any more to do with doing cover versions of other people's songs. And, rightly so.
As far as this particular one was concerned, the collaboration with the Beach Boys was what drew attention to it, but it didn't do their credibility much good, to be honest. A decent enough rendition, but one that spelt the way for a few years to come of being seen as a band that could only cover other people's material, a la a tribute/cabaret band. Not a good look at all. Things did look up a few years later when they released their next studio album after this one, though, when they released an album of mostly original material. But a year later spoiled it again by releasing the second covers album. The third one they had to do in order to get their next original album released as part of the deal. Luckily, was largely unnoticed by the general public and wasn't really publicised, either. By 2002, they'd get themselves back on the right track though, with only original material featuring on their albums.
Not that they haven't done good jobs of doing cover versions in the past, mind you. 'Wild Side of Life', and, 'Roadhouse Blues', being 2 examples. Even, 'Rockin' All Over The World', was a cover version! They even did a decent job of, 'Something 'bout You Baby I Like.'
I think you'd enjoy, 'What You're Proposing', which is pretty much what you describe what you're looking for. Happy, up-beat, with the famous teles doing their thing the way only Quo could do.
that whole bit about "being seen as a band that could only cover other people's material" is laughable, by that point in there career status quo had been established long enough they were allowed to dabble in covers, at the time they had been doing very well for themselves for 30 years, even in the 90's the quo were established enough.
plus your missing out on the fact that cover albums in the 90's was a huge thing, everyone was doing covers in the 90's
4500 times from the end of the road concert at Milton Keynes bowl
Agree!!! You`re totally blown away after that "little" piece of Quo. Quo fan forever.
Roger That! I was there :)
You lucky bastard!! I was in Coppenhagen in 1979 attending The Frantic Four doing a gig I´ll never forget. They played a 20 min`s version of 4500 Times, and I was high 2 weeks after that mindblowing performance. Those were the days, my friend.. @@iangillon6981
@iangillon6981 I was at the "End of the road" tour, but saw them at the NEC Birmingham. Strange though, they died for me when we lost Rick. Still have all the old DVD'S though with Rick.
Dave.
Dave.
Listen to Down Down, Piledriver, Big Fat Mama, Roll Over Lay Down , Again Again, you will realise why they top biggest selling albums etc etc
Watch his earlier reactions.. many of them already there
Mystery Song 👍👍won't be dissapointed
Album version
Yes got to be the version off Blue for you
About time you listened to this one 🤣
That was a great collaboration. Still got that on my playlist (and on CD and even tape somewhere). It's just a catchy, happy tune. You can't just NOT get into a good mood when listening to this. Talking about the use of a saxophone: Dog Eat Dog did that quite well when they were quite a bit successful back in the 90s. Not all songs were great, but they had a bunch of really good ones.
Mid 90’s Quo wasn’t their finest hour but not as bad as some make out. I’d definitely recommend studio version of Little Lady from On the Level 🤘🤘🤘
cool song, Mr. Rock and Roll, 🤘🤘
Absolutely everything is better with a Saxophone. Greatest instrument invented......
Latter day Quo but as the title says, "Fun, Fun, Fun". However, my strong recommendation is to get back on your 1970s Quo journey. There are so many classics to discover that they'll keep you headbanging for ages!
ステイタス・クォー好きだねぇ。私は昔のバンドなら今、スレイドにハマっているよ。
Unexpected choice of song here, but still good as always! This is from 1996 when Quo ahd their 30ths anniversary and inveted some other bands and did a covder album.. "Donk't Stop".. There are some other good songs out there from this gig.
Oldies: Juniors wailing, Rain, Mysterie song
Slow Train , is there a better way , Ring of a change , Drifting Away , those songs are going to make you bounce around the room like never before 🎸🤘🎸🤘
😃
Dreadful or to that meaning was what Francis Rossi said about this just a while ago. I agree 😁
I love your bands version of Rockin’ All Over The World’ . Will it be available on CD format?
Always great to see the Mighty Quo!
Love your channel!
MR. Rock n roll , we salute you 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
'Roadhouse Medley' Please
bom dia man. cade as reação de babymetal? heuheuhue to com saudade
@MR Rock and Roll, Quo after 1981 went to pot, all the classic stuff is pre 1982!
Come on let's see your reaction to Dire Straits Sultans of Swing (Alchemy Live)
Early Quo fans won’t entertain this dross . Try “mean girl “ from the album dog of two head
This isn't really a Quo song. It is a Beach Boys song. But it is fun.
Try and react to other Quo songs like "Rain" "Mystery Song" "Slow Train" "Paper Plane" "Blue eyed Lady".
Watch his earler reactions, many of them already there.. And this was from Quos 30ths anniversary back in 1996.
Reaction Plssss This song is a song that touches all your deepest feelings. There are also surprises in some parts of the song that you have to try. This is a real Thai rock band.

Hi Mr Rock N Roll, try listening to Backwater / Just Take Me and Slowtrain from the Quo album
Why this theres far better
Next : Hammerfall - Hammer Of Dawn.
Oh dear, 😢😢
Not one of there classics this one. Get listening to end of the road 84 4500 times. You dont know what your missing its nothing like the tame studio version.
Quo at their worst here
still a fun, nice uplifting song :)
You are talking bollocks. It is classic surf rock with great Quo elements.
Oh no, why did you choose this one!!! This is when Quo went bad.
Bad choice- sorry to say so!
It is a good example of the bands width.. Quo has many faces, here is one, the frantic four another..
@@leiper72 Its not my Cuppa tea. But a very good point.
A lot of people say they, all sound the same. Compare this to say, Rain.. I agree though, not one I would choose.
I’m a massive Quo fan and have seen them live 8 times but this is probably the worst thing they’ve ever done.
You’ve drifted away from the really great classic Quo with this one…take on board what others are advising…live stuff from the 70’s & 80’s is the way, although there are some later gems…this isn’t one of them however…
Hmm, really not Quo at their best, this era generally does nothing for me
one of the worst moments in Quo's (whatever line-up) 62 year career.
Stick to 70's Quo. Anything after the Frantic Four is shite and gets more shite as you get to today's Quo.
Average
quo from the sh1t era, dont bother with anything post 80s
