      @@FinanceUnboxedHow is the Financial Analyst role in a long term perspective. Is there job security in this role, and will this role get affected by AI? What type of Salary can a Fresher expect and on an average after 5-10 years how much hike is there in the salary in India or Abroad?

    Hey, I am based in the US. I want to become Finance Analyst or account. Maybe one day a manager is the field. My question is do you really need CPA? can you replace CPA with MBA? Will most employees look for CPA and not hire you if I don’t have one?

    • @FinanceUnboxed
      @FinanceUnboxed  2 года назад

      Hey, a CPA isn't a must if you want to be a FA. The CPA isn't a must as well if you want to be an accounts clerk or take up another basic accountancy related role. It is required though , atleast the equivalent of it here in the UK, if you want to be a full blown accountant, and especially if you want to progress up the ranks.

    Hi Thanks for the video.Ladies who has completed MBA in finance long back after long back again they want to start their careers.What are good options for us to start as financial analyst. Is SQL helpful .Could you plz advise..

    • @FinanceUnboxed
      @FinanceUnboxed  2 года назад

      Hey, thanks for the comment. It's not that big of a deal if you've done your MBA a a long time back but what experience you've had since then is important. If you've got any experience in Finance or had a job that has allowed you build analytical skills, that's incredibly useful. Knowledge of SQL is helpful yes but not essential. How you used SQL is also a factor, for e.g. was it to analyse financial data?

    Hello,
    I am going to join the University of Surrey(UK) in Sept 2022 to study MSc Investment Management at the age of 35 years.
    Furthermore, I'm well confident that I will pass the CFA Level I while studying MSc because i had started my preparation for the same 6 month back.
    Therefore, I want to know that 1.Will the UK's Finance and investment industry welcome me at this age after MSc?
    2. Should I prepare myself for an Associate level rather than an Analyst level to break into IB considering my age?
    3. What would you suggest me at this point of my career? Like should I prepare to get into Hedge fund industry etc
    About me: I've been working as a senior lecturer Economics & Finance in a reputed Indian University for 13 years.
    Having Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from an india based top B-School.
    Having good commond over Excel and Python.
    Kindly respond considering my age, Qualification, Exp.,Skills, My interest to get into Finance and Investment industry and UK Job market of course.
    Thank you in advance !

    Hey, if you had to choose between an audit or management consulting graduate scheme, which would be the better option for a future move into deal advisory, particularly M&A. And then into IB/PE?
    I know you stated in a previous video that you saw people from audit move into FDD and then into M&A, so would audit be the better option? On the other hand did you ever see anyone move into your team from consulting, and is that even possible or if I choose management consulting would I lack technical accounting skills to make the move to M&A?

    • @FinanceUnboxed
      @FinanceUnboxed  3 года назад +1

      Hey, it is possible to move from both to M&A - I've seen it done before. Both build specific skills that are transferable. In my opinion audit slightly edges consulting because of the technical skills built up. But there are also more auditors looking to move across to M&A. Fewer consultants want to move across. Hope this helps

    • @HtheKing
      @HtheKing 3 года назад +1

      @@FinanceUnboxed Thank you this was very helpful. You said fewer consultants want to move across so would this mean a consultant who does want to move over stands a better chance?

    • @FinanceUnboxed
      @FinanceUnboxed  3 года назад +1

      @@HtheKing There are several factors that go into it. For example if the existing team is weaker on the technical side, they may prefer someone from an audit background. If they are looking for someone who is more accustomed to client interaction, they may look for a consulting background. Overall though, whichever you pick, I'd say develop your commercial awareness and start networking with the M&A team asap once you're there. Hope this helps and best of luck.

      Hi, the MBA should provide you with plenty of technical skills so I don't think you need to sign up to any more formal courses. Naturally you can sign upto online courses that build your technical skills - would suggest financial modelling for FA roles.
