Great video, very clear, thank you from France. I like the first step with the grip down 👍 I would enjoy a video to keep the spine angle at the backswing (I tend to be taller at the backswing 😕). Thank you very much
Yes, I am struggling with my new cobra 3 wood for some reason! Before the 3 wood, I had a Callaway 2 wood that I hit very well! When I do hit my 3 wood somewhat correctly, I get a lot more distance and straighter. I will work on your awesome tips. Thanks Michael!
Its midnight and what the heck am I doing? LMAO at the opening of your latest production! Why oh why were we taught to hit up of the woods, down on the irons. Man has golf changed or at least what you are telling us compared to what we were taught has. This is maybe the 10th ANBOG video i have studied and in my saved in my MB RUclips folder. Going to send you a swing video soon. I have 3 sessions captured, no launch monitor, just video. I've learned so much from your videos. I use that knowledge to watch myself swing on video sessions. Then I take notes of what I need to work on. The top of my back swing is the most beautiful thing i've ever seen me do with a club! Just love it! I have put the sessions into Final Cut Pro to cut the shots and watch in slow motion. Maybe i will learn how to use V1 and put some in there. I know i know, but FCP10 is my easier softer way right now. Thank you for another great video. I mentioned your channel, on a TT Chat tonight to a guy asking for swing help. Like, come on man. There are a million teachers and Vids, but there is only ONE Michael Breed!
I'm glad you're making progress! Keep up the great work. By the way, I highly recommend V1. There is a link in all the video descriptions you can use when you decide to go that direction. Thanks for the continued support!
Michael - Do these principles apply if I tee the ball up? I would guess "yes" but would like clarification. Great video, I'm happy to have started watching your videos, you explain things very plainly and simple. Thank you!
You are so awesome. Now, I have a question. I saw Stetson video regarding the 3 club and he uses it a lot... he places the ball back.... most people teach front... I tend to hit it better when I use his technique... Maybe you want to explain... Thanks bro... you are the best !
Ball position is an upper body thing. When you move it forward in your feet, you likely open your shoulders. When you move it back in your feet, you likely square your shoulders. I would guess it's not as far back as you may think! Look where the ball is in relation to your chest. Thanks for watching!
The fade asks for the club face to stay open on the way through, which means it's not closing. This creates more consistency. As club head speed increases, the value of this also increases. I would not say it's an age thing. Some older golfers may benefit from a fade. Some will play better with a draw.
For years I used to claim I was 5'8" tall. But with age comes shrinkage, so now I claim to be 5'7"; and even that may be a slight exaggeration! So with a longer club, I tend to have a relatively flat swing. How do I get more of a downward angle of attack?
Regardless of your height, the principals in this video apply. Some additional things you can do are grip down on the club so you can stand closer to the ball. That will also help.
Thanks. I knew the principles were the same, I just felt I was starting from a deficit. I had always gripped at the end of the club because I thought it might give me that little extra yardage. But maybe this just accentuated my flat swing? I've got to try gripping down and moving closer! Thanks again!
Most amateurs do not have your ability. So Instead of gripping down on your 3 wood, why not just take a 5 wood , grip normally and play the ball 1” back in your stance.
Great video !!! ( as always ) ..............

Wish I found you on RUclips when I first began playing golf.
Better late than never! Thanks for watching

Michael breed thank you , I need to get one thanks again😀😃😄
If i could hit my 3 wood 222 off the ground straight im happy!
Liked your comment "that madness stops now" :)
Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed!
Im guessing this would also work for my 5 and 7 woods?

That intro, though 😂
No woods in my bag. 3 hybrid, yes
You could be missing out!
Thanks for the help. My "hood ornament" is only used for tee shots on short dog legs. 😭
I hope this changes that!
Great lesson. Question why do you and so many pros hit fades. Are older golfers not better off hitting draws for more distance?
The fade asks for the club face to stay open on the way through, which means it's not closing. This creates more consistency. As club head speed increases, the value of this also increases. Let’s do this!!!!

Ball position looks like driver off front foot?
Ball position is an upper body thing. That being said, the fairway wood ball position is very similar to the driver ball position.

Learn to hit the Driver off the deck first.
