Symphony No. 40 was the first piece I ever played in an orchestra (for a concert). I was second violin (it was arranged for strings). It holds a very special place in my heart :D
Edit 5 seconds later: We played Molto Allegro, not all of the movements.

Where do you think film composers learned their trade? Although some of them are great composers in their own right. All of them learned from those who came before, even if they later innovated and advanced musical knowledge themselves. No one taught themselves musical theory from scratch.

Dvorak. no 9. 💓 My Dad always told me. (He was 1st Clarinet in RMB in 60s. ) He told me that a lot of modern music steals from just that one piece. .. intro .. Jaws. ... main riff new star trek.... Kinda thing...
