thanks for the info, was looking around for different battery banks but wasnt really sure if I was limited to certain sizes or outputs. I just got into thermals and the mh25 V2 is my first optic so didnt want to accidentally go with something that could potentially brick my thermal.
how waterproof is the conection between the thermal and the battry bank. and how does it handle brush and branches and such. i would like it to be able to opperate well in bad conditions like in brush and bad wheather. and would like it to be able to run on a 18650 battery pack can still not understand why they didn't make the unit run on 18650 cells straight out of the box anyway
Other option is using 16650 batteries with the (overpriced, $99) battery extender. I like being able to use the MH25 as a handheld to keep weight off my head (I use my helmet during the daytime too). You get a solid 3 hours on a fully charged 16650.
I typically run the MH25 with the battery in it fully charged so that if for some reason while I'm out and the pack dies or the unit disconnects from the pack the thermal keeps running on the internal battery. Then I'll have about an HR to figure out how to keep the unit running instead of it just turning off.
How does this play with running an NVG battery pack? Or IS this a battery pack? Can or should you even use a pack with a 14? I’m a newb so I’m just trying to learn. Thanks!

Can you post a link to the battery pack you’re using?
Following
We picked up this 13000 mah dual USB port battery pack on Amazon
what mount do you use to link up with the PVS-14? Thanks
Confused. Right in the description of that power bank on amazon it says 5 volts.
Do you run the battery bank alone or with the lithium battery also?

Thanks for the feedback

You won't need a pack with a 14. One AA will last many many hours.
Can the RH 25 be ran the same way?
Did you ever get an answer?
my question is where can I get the same battery pack/bank that you have?
Amazon has them
I meant Elecom Nestout
