Hello, everyone! It's been a while.
I was on my final moments of high school before eventually graduating. Then I had to deal with college admissions for another few months before i finally got in. Suffice it to say my mental health has been shaky throughout all that. Being in a state of limbo for prolonged periods of time is not fun, turns out. Silly RUclips Videos is the least of my worries and considering my last video was literally my worst performing one, I had trouble regaining motivation to do much of anything.
Thankfully it's all over and I can finally "enjoy" my life as a college student. Not sure about what'll happen next but I definitely have big things planned ❤✨
(also keep an eye out for the "secret project" i seamlessly teased at 10:00 👀)
    tl;dr School Sucks

The name of the show is basically what this new genre is about. Girls in a band cry(and do cute things, because it's still part of the wider cute girls do cute things(and band things) genre)

i think i finished watching girls band cry earlier today and i'm very mixed on it. i think, similar to mygo, the first 5 or so episodes are very strong and a good hook, but i think the rest of the season just feels like it's going through the motions and both shows genuinely made me feel bored at points. although maybe that's my adhd??? idk bro. i wish they did more that made it feel more "authentic." both shows were too predictable imo, but i think mygo's stronger overall (i love haruhikage)

I'm still confused and don't understand why Toei release songs and MVs with official English titles and subtitles (Japanese song titles when translating to English mostly are not even what official English titles mean), yet the anime is not on any international platforms until recent announcement.
Well, for a company that copyright strike their own channel, anything confusing can happen... :v

Titles and sentences that have a different reading or meaning from the actual indication (KANJI) are similar to what is called "当て字/ATEJI", a method often used in Japan.
When I searched for the same meaning in English, I found the term "phonetic equivalent," but I am not sure if this is correct.
In the case of GBC, for example, the Japanese title is "運命の華" but the English title is "I'm Here" This is also a metaphor, coming from the lyric, "We are the flowers that bloomed when we met each other," but I'm Here has the same meaning when interpreted as "I'm here by your side"
In other animated works, I would say.
Most of the song titles in mygo are in ATEJI, for example, "端程山" is read as "パノラマ/PANORAMA".
*Almost all of the song titles that appear in mygo are complete ATEJI and have no corresponding Japanese reading.

@@Rabe9raven yeah, I've been following MyGO!!!!! since their beginning, so I know that their song titles are "gikun" (技訓), or "ateji", or whatever it is.
I'm just confused of Toei's marketing strategy, but I guess it worked well because you can see in MV videos' comment sections that there are many English comments begging Toei to release GBC anime globally, and finally they announced international release recently.
