It's not somthing they are making to turn a quick profit they are just pushing ahead to create whole new chapter in technology. Just because we are used to peddles and a big wheel doesn't mean it's the best way to go about it

You get a different line of vision sitting on the other side though. My grandparents moved to Pain from the UK and kept their UK car. The driver couldn't see well to overtake and the passenger had to tell them if anything was coming the other way. Do not recommend.

You couldn't drift it... it simply drives sideways. You pull back on the joystick to brake. Idk about locking. It does have doors as they are shown in this clip. Also remember that it's just a concept. Not available to public
