Mine is an old burlap "Bag of Holding" that ThinkGeek was selling (when they still existed years ago). It has tons of space to hold everything i could ever want. I have 8 Commander decks and cheap plastic deckbox full of every token I would ever need in the first section. In the second section, I keep all 3 of my playmats. In the front zipper section, I keep everything I would need fast. Sleeves, dice bag, life counter, sunglasses, phone charger, car keys, extra random cards, and set/draft packs.
My Magic bag is a backpack of sorts (not sure what kind) that my grandpa gave me a few weeks ago that has plenty of zippers and storage spaces. I'm not sure if said bag is waterproof, so I just keep my deck boxes containing commander decks I made for both me and my friend in a huge ziplock bag in an organised fashion and neatly place it inside my bag. I also carry around an umbrella in there for when it rains. Thanks for the last tip about making one's bag stand out. I don't attend any huge Mtg events since I'm far from anywhere that hosts them, but I'm now looking into customising my Magic bag with maybe some of the Ravnica guild badges I saw in my lgs a few weeks ago.
I use a Chrome brand sling camera bag that also had divider inside that I took out. Now it fits 6 UG 100+ Boulders perfectly. Has a small flat pocket in the opening flap, fits a dry-erase marker and infinitokens. Has a large pocket up top that can fit a power bank, a charging cord and dock, bag of d20's, a small box of 36xd6's, and a snack like a Cliff bar. The side has a similar tripod holder to your, but with two straps instead of one, and can nicely hold a playmat sleeve. I've tossed on it some MTG related patches I've collected over the years.
Amazing! I use my old school shoulder back, because for me aside from decks the most important thing to carry to a mtg convention is to bring your binders for trading cards! 🤩🤩🤩🤩 it is the best part! So fun!!!! So most enjoyable part since i was a teen!
I was thinking camera bag being great idea. I like having a large pocket which holds my trade binders. Had a bag similar to yours made by Ultra-Pro long time ago till the zippers broke. Only improvement might be dividers like yours has.
That deck box was a gift from my wife actually. She ordered it from someone on etsy and I'm not sure if RUclips will let me share a link here, but I'll try: www.etsy.com/listing/1199650372/antique-black-distressed-game-deck-case?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=magic+deck+box&ref=sc_gallery-1-7&frs=1&cns=1&sts=1&plkey=397e4593cc75dd204c33bdc6b516035fabc1b6e8%3A1199650372
Bring 2 of everything in case you have forgetful friends. A single magic deck is useless for playing MTG without a second magic deck. My friend had his backpack stolen at Shadowmoor prerelease in Seattle, to the despair of our carpool. This was back in the day where prerelease was more like a convention with thousands of people.

Sounds perfect!

Pre-sleeved matching basics for draft, hell yea. I love my draft kit.

Love the video Ryan and excellent tips. Question where did you find the deck box with the gold latch? That looks very cool. Thanks.

I'm glad I'm not the only one using a camera bag for magic lol
Mine always has decks, dice, extra sleeves, a playmat, plenty of water, a protein drink, and a pen and paper.
Kat. Just keep my decks in zip-lock bags and have them in my high-school backpack which i used for what? 5-7 years now?

This is cool. But I never travel, and just backpack locally.
