Mesmerizing and breathtaking. Thank you so much for such a gift. When properly done, this tune always brings a tear or eight.

I'm a retired music teacher in Missouri and first heard this tune about 3 years ago...early one Sunday morn. It sent chills up/down my spine as I read the lyrics and other commentary about Irish mythology as I listened! (Just recently found out me granddad emigrated to North Carolina from County Cork!) So, every so often I have to - I crave - listening to various settings of this piece. Sinead's, Caitlin's, guitar guy from 1965, an Irish college small ensemble (!) and now this group is presenting an excellent arrangement & performance to add to my list!

My new arrangement of She Moved through the Fair for string quartet, taken from an upcoming music and poetry cd with the poet Joan McBreen. Performed by RTÉ ConTempo Quartet and recorded at Sun Street Recording Studios in Tuam, Co. Galway. Hope you like

Glen Austin, You've bought this piece a lovely new pair of shoes. Bobby Dazzlers! So often played at too fast a tempo, it's the second minute (and what a first!) before the lead shows up, lovely segue. I could talk all night about this. | So....what?... you're thinking of something similar for 'Women Of Ireland'. Hmm, good idea. There's a lot of room for variation in both pieces. Anyway, delighted to see someone find a few of the adjoining rooms. Thank you.

Enchanting.....I was being transported through a fairy glen somewhere in darkest Kerry and didn't want it to end........Beautiful.

      Why is Kerry so dark?

    Dear Glen,
I am deeply moved--what an exquisite, warm and heartfelt arrangement.
    It captures the mood perfectly.
I fiddle this from time to time with my friends.
I have written several Irish pieces and shall send 3 or 4 personally to you.
Please visit RUclips ELIZABETHAN ROMANCE which premiered in Melbourne
where I live in April 2012.
You make my day and I hope we can exchange.
I sing some Irish songs --if I were to die tomorrow, I'll sing THE LAST ROSE OF SUMMER. Had sung this so many times, also ENDEARING YOUNG CHARMS, ROSE OF TRALEE, DANNY BOY, IRISH EYES, AT THE MID-HOUR OF NIGHT..
With my esteem and best wishes
    Peter
