Hi just bought a second hand DS 708 .it's great that your useing and demonstrateing it's caperbilty no instructions came with mine look forward to next video.
I took my car to a mechanic and told me I had to replace the engine, got a second opinion and got told it was the coil, replaced the coil and problem solved.
@@LMAutoRepairs here i was thinking. Jesus its probably the turbo.. i notice the angine is slighly shaking.. do you think i might need to change the Serpentine Belt Tensioner and belt.. FYI i am a youtube self made DIY mechanic to my own cars
I use another method for check this coils... You have to put a coin over the coil, and keep contact with the ground cable from the oscilloscope in the middle. Forget the plus cable. The magnetic waves emitted by both coils (primary and secondary), are captured by the coin and transformed in current (adjust a very low voltage). Then, you must to see both signals of both coils, and when secondary faults, the second one disappears. Easier, faster, precise, and especially clean 😅 Check to try it 👌🏻👌🏻 Por cierto, hablas español?

Hi, my car 2007 audi a4 quattro 2.0L cam chain tensioner broke while stopping at a red light. I've put new chain and tensioner on. Compression of 180psi on all 4 cylinders. But getting P0302 code. Replaced all sparks and coil. Car starts and runs but shakes like crazy. I've rechecked timing and it looks ok. The new spark plug on cylinder #2 looks brand new as if it hasn't been used at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Had same thing on daughter's a4..replaced plugs ...n 80 purge valve..pvc...fixed it smooth. ...plugs. Only NGK iridium....dont regap...come set...turbos like smaller gap...

I broke my ignition Coil Harness cover my cables are exposed I have them with heat tape, would this cause these codes? Oh and I have a bad maf it's on its way.. But my car runs wayyy to rich I can't even turn on the heater it Hella reeks
Hi there thanks for this video. I have Cylinder 1 P0301 & Cylinder 3 P0303 intermittent misfires, it's a strange one because it comes and goes meaning the next scan shows all clear. I had already changed coil packs and spark plugs and done walnut blastings to clear carbon build-up. What could be the problem? Thanks

@@LMAutoRepairs Thanks for the reply, I had forgot to state that I had indeed done 2 compression test, also there is not CEL registered, but I noticed that my fuel consumption had increased I use to register 430km on city traffic alone now I barely get 400km, mostly 380km. The strangest thing happened today after around of test the fault code disappeared. It could be 2 separate issues altogether, the odometer is currently clocked at 200k km

Help! i have a 2005 Audi A4 1.8T when i first got it i had no CEL (idk if the person before me cleared the code or not before i got it) but after refueling and putting 87 in it like youre not supposed to the CEL came on and misfires started to occur after acouple weeks it got worse CEL eventually started blinking hooked up VAG com and found 2 code for a misfire in cylinder 2 and 4 thought it may be the coils so i switched them around to see if the code would switch to a different cylinder and it didnt it was still 2 and 4 so i swapped the plugs with newer ones this helped the problem now it only really misses during idle but its still missing and the CEL came back on after i changed the plugs and theres no code for lean miss fire so im not thinking it has anything to do with fuel but i thought about checking the MAF sensor can someone give me some input on what i should do or how i can find a solution
Reddeadattention Hi Based on what you describe and everything you did already, it seems something to do with the primary ingnition circuit... which means something wrong with what controls the coils... and because the misfire is on the cylinder 2 and 4, it can be the driver inside the ecu... but, loads of checks before blame that... Check that the could are getting good power and ground... check the signal wire from the coils back to the ecu... Another think that would worth, and because you have been doing it already, is swap the injectors... see if the problem moves over, just like you tried with the coils... if moves, you have your answer... If not, check also the injector circuit, power and signal wire... Hope that helps... Thank you for watching!
LM Auto Repairs Yeah ive been researching everything trying to figure out the issue and i have seen that it might be electrical or have something to do with the ECU im working my way from common issues like the coils and spark plugs to rarer issues and when i swapped the plugs i got new ones for all 4 cylinders so it cant be that but ill definitely go through all the wires and connectors tomorrow and get back to you thanks so much for the reply and help!

Hi there! Thanks for the great video. I've random misfire issue and so far we couldn't find the problem. We changed; spark plugs, ignition coils, cleaned throttle body, repaired PCV, checked MAF sensor and all but still car is running rough only in idle and smoots out when you rev the engine after 1000 RPM. We made a smoke test to see if there's any leak but there was nothing visible. I searched a lot and everything ends up having a vacuum leak causing this issue. How we can check other than smoke test if there's a vacuum leak? Can vacuum leak cause this misfiring issue? Also one more thing, when I get live data for the voltage when car is idling, in idle it runs between 12-13V but as soon as I rev up the engine, voltage goes around 14V and again, car runs very smooth. Can it be related to any electrical or alternator issue? We checked battery, it's %97 healthy, alternator seems charging well also but I didn't understand why in idle voltage drops (in idle, internal lights blinks also when misfire happens). Your response will really help me, I'm getting tired to find this issue..
Hi I would start with the voltage at idling... Should be around 14v... and if you have flickering lights inside the car.... That said, that can also be caused by low rpm due to the missing... Check timing as well... Fuel trims... Is there any codes other than the random misfiring? Thank you for watching! 👍👍👍

Whenever I rev up the engine, voltage goes above 13 V and that's where I don't have any issue. All misfiring is happening during idle. I had codes random misfire and Cylinder 1 & 3 misfire twice today, before I was never getting misfire code but engine was always shaking in idle. long fuel trims are negative.. lft1 is around -12, lft2 -5, short trims are changing during drive (+/-) but they're always smaller than 10% (+/-). Timing, I don't know how to check but there's no code other than this misfires...
@@cagrbayraktar7027 A bad fuel injector thats stuck open is also a common cause of this on Audi's/VW. If you have a code for a specific cylinder coming up then the fuel injector for that cylinder is likely bad.
Hi I have a question for you. If my turbo is bad would 0304 be a code for my 2011 Audi A4? And when the car goes into limp mode, besides driving like a lawn mower does it make thumping movements?
Hi... I would say no... If the turbo was bad, would put the car in limp mode, and you would definitely feel the lack of power... But the misfiring if any, would most likely be random... not cylinder specific... Noises, depends how it failed... could make rattling noises if the turbine or impeler is touching the turbo housing... 👍👍👍

After 7 years my check engine light came on. Missed the warranty by 2 months n 2000 miles over. Sick about that. I was quoted 5000 to replace turbo, was told waste gate is bad. I didn’t have 5000 at time to fix my car and it drove fine. So for a year I drove like that. Then one late night I added too much oil by accident. My oil sensor wire was chewed by rodents, so I didn’t know, started car and it smoked like crazy, bailing out the exhaust. So I shut it off n towed the car to this auto shop. I told them what happened. So they drained the oil for me, and I asked them how much to replace turbo they quoted me 3500. So I agreed. This was late Thursday when I agreed, near closing time. This wasn’t a special turbo shop. So this turbo had to be ordered or found in Las Vegas. Anyways, the very next day at 1pm, they call me and tell me my car is ready.. in those minimal hours. So I made a horrible mistake trusting this place, that said “family owned” and never asked to see the turbo they took out of my car. They said 2 year warranty on turbo. So when I left there. My car drove exactly the same. After 70 miles the check engine light came back on. I called them and the guy said” well ya, after all that oil, I’m not surprised.” So this was a year ago, since my car left shop. I refused to take my car to them and have them charge me for more money, when they weren’t fixing anything. And having no proof that they didn’t replace turbo. Now I know my turbo is finished in my car. I drove on it for so long. And I want to take my car to them now, because it’s not driving. It thumps and drives like a go cart. But 304 code popped up. I just don’t know what I can do. This auto shop has 36 complaints with the BBB. of robbing people. So my question to you and if you are still here is. Is there a way I can prove somehow that they didn’t put a new turbo in. I stepped on the pedal too hard, to get out of traffic and that’s when it said : “no way, and started thumping n had no power. I would look for another shop... After all that time, it will be difficult for you to prove anything I guess... Better just look for another place that will look into it properly...

I cleaned the injectors, intake manifold, and new spark plugs.
My matro smart ride device pulled up code p0301 p0306 p0305 & p0300 07 Audi A4 3.2 Quattro

I forgot to ask, my code reader says 6 codes for my car, which I’m just figuring out now . So if my turbo was bad, is that only one code 0299 that would tell me or is there more turbo codes? Thanks again
I would look for another shop...
After all that time, it will be difficult for you to prove anything I guess...

Se não der para chegar a nenhuma conclusão, veja a compressão dos cilindros, em frio e depois em quente...

Já tive um problema semelhante com o meu há alguns anos atrás e o problema era o sensor de velocidade (quem diria). O seguro mesmo é meter o carro na máquina de diagnóstico.
