Small theory: From some of the videos like the "I already knew" meme shows that Cassidy was kind of using theory to torture William- or for something else. And now she has a close connection with him! So, she was asking herself in this meme how she was going to find a way for C.C to come out even though she knew that she could leave him. And in the "Somebody I Used To Know" meme also showed that she cares for him because when she saw that Gregory looked similar to C.C and even mistook him for C.C before saying she forgot that he was safe. Perhaps- Cassidy was going to leave C.C to get captured by the virus but felt bad. She did spend a lot of time with him out of the other missing kids! And- sacrificed herself to possibly save him, that's probably why she is trapped in the game!
Bonus Theory: William got his revenge on her in a way for trapping him in hell and tortured Cassidy in the game until Gregory freed her. Which is probably the reason why he sends Vanny to chase Gregory? So Cassidy wouldn't be freed from the game and feel the pain of being trapped? Again- it's just just a theory! A GAME THEORY
