No one has ever put together 2 things as depressing as Yume Nikki and Have A Nice Life in the same video.

@@TheAegisf100 By new Yume Nikki do you mean Dream Diary? I have taken a couple of aspects of Dream Diary and worked them into my mod, although it's nothing crazy really. And for the Alternate Ending version, I haven't really played that myself (I've actually been avoiding every YM fangame so I don't accidentally steal any ideas), so which aspects of the alternative ending does it remind you of?

This is extremely interesting. Is this a mod putting together what version 0.1 could have looked like, and are these sprites and environments reconstructions of older builds' screenshots or first-hand accounts of what people have seen from version 0.1?

I wish, now THAT would be a good mod. Also would be a great find for the Yume Nikki community, but sadly no. I'm just spewing out what creative ideas I have and slowly implementing them into RPG Maker where you'll either be able to download a patch where you drag and drop the files onto your steam version of the game, or you can download it pre-patched.

I'll upload it on a communty post right here on RUclips. You'll have two options, either patch the game yourself, or download it pre-patched. I probably in the release video announcing when the mod is finished will include a segment explaining how to patch it yourself.

I'm considering dropping the project as a whole. I tried to work all I could in October under TIGHT time constraints, since its due date was set in October. The last week of October comes and I was forced to make a decision, either release the mod unfinished, or take my time to iron out some bugs and release it later. November came, and then December, and up until a couple of days ago, I barely opened up the project to work on. Sadly, after a year of determined passionate work, I was unsatisfied with what I had and might leave the project unfinished.

I'll try to get this out by October, but there have been more than 1 thing holding the production of this mod back while working on this. Whether it's RPG Maker 2003 randomly corrupting my progress, system issues with my old laptop, fulfilling high school, and other things as I'm generally just a busy person, but no matter these setbacks, I will try to get it out by october.

@@nanobite5985 I'm trying, and I'm doing a pretty good job. I currently have all A's with the exception of one C. But with these grades you can probably guess I spend a lot of time doing school work, and so progress is very slow.

I was thinking this October but my laptop literally won't turn on anymore. I'm getting some things to repair it in the meantime.
i haven't played the original game, so will it be okay for me to play your version first ?
Hmmmmmm... that's a tricky question, it really depends on what the situation calls for. If you really want to be patient and wait for the release date that is scheduled for October, than you can do so.
My version is by no means an official update, which is why I call it a mod, it only adds to the game. Like free optional DLC when you buy a game like Left 4 Dead (just not the Xbox 360 version). What I recommend is, if you're willing to wait for the release date, in the mod the original doors are located all in the upper section while my content is located to the bottom. You can play the entirety of Yume Nikki without any dishonest modifications firstly, and once you've done all of that, proceed onto the fan content.
I'm not exactly too confident in what I have made if we regard Yume Nikki's legacy, which is why I advocate playing the original game and than moving onto my mod. But of course, you can play at your own pace, and that means doing whatever you want in whichever order you choose. My main goal is to not take the mod too seriously, but don't treat it too lightly. Just have fun I suppose.
Also, I have an idea about spreading items from other worlds in the original Yume Nikki onto my new areas, so there's more than 1 way to get every effect, but that doesn't exactly mean they'll be easier to get.
if you'd like, i'm 1000% willing to help with the project--i have some knowledge in rpgmaker coding and spriting ^^ i'd hate for this project to die in the darkness and i really want to have it see the light of day. that said, i wouldn't be disappointed with an early/somewhat unfinished release!

Regular amount already in the game, but I have been trying to figure out how effects work.

@@ZerioYume I have an idea of how I could get that to work, but there's not many endings I want to add or make. I'll probably only have the regular game ending with some noticable tweaks.
