Developers note:
I can't believe this took almost 2 years of development. Development first started in either March or May of 2020, and has lasted me until April of 2022. This has been the first project I have ever started and finished, coming in with no prior knowledge of how to code, illustrate, compose, or general purpose game design. I never thought I'd be pulling through with this project, nor did I expect myself to ever finish and release it.
Yume Nikki Version 1.00 first started out as a joke mod. With one of the first ever modifications to the mod being the closet that leads to an expansion of the Pink Sea, that leading to the Convenience Store, and a hidden trail leading to a Undertale easter egg. However, the more I messed with RPG Maker 2003 and did some bare bone tileset modifications, I was beginning to realize how fun creating new areas to explore was for me, and after making a couple new areas, the first ever Yume Nikki Version 1.00 trailer was made in July of 2020. After publication on an Instagram page and receiving surprisingly positive comments about the mod, I decided I would fully dedicate my time and efforts towards making this the best first project I could.
Of course, as my first project, there are a lot of things that needed work on still. Originally going to be released in October of 2021, life events had thwarted any plans I had to work on the mod, and the mod had to be postponed to now. Originally, I was going to have a "Achievement" type function in the mod similar to the one in Yume Nikki: Dream Diary, and it was going to come with it's own menu you could access by pressing "7" on the keypad. However, I had no idea how to even begin to get custom menu's working properly, and ultimately, the idea had to be scrapped.
While there was a lot of content that got scrapped while Version 1.00 was in development, I can proudly say I'm glad with what I have for a first time project. I'm proud I followed through until the end, and finally released it for all of you who wish to play it. This was a challenging and tough strain on my creativity, ingenuity, and determination, but I can say proudly I made it there. I will definitely continue working with more Yume Nikki related content, whether it be on my channel or another platform, but I will continue and most likely start again another Yume Nikki mod or even fan-game this time around. Maybe not immediately, but in the upcoming months, I will find something to do, especially since the 18th anniversary is in June, only 2 months from now.

Is there a way back to the real world bedroom after viewing the ? Cutscene in the debug room?
I don't believe so. The debug room was meant just for testing purposes.
This was by far one of the most disappointing games I've ever played, the trailer is such a lie and so misleading it actually should be taken down, the game is buggy as all hell and I'm baffled how you actually took 2 years to make it, there are many stolen assets too and there's not even a slight sense of direction.
when i try launching the RPG_RT.exe file, i get an error message saying "cannot open 0000000000009 file". any fix?
I've never seen that error before. When you downloaded the mod your download might have been interruptedy, causing there to be a missing file. I'd recommend redownloading, because that's never happened before.
@@3690712458 i redownloaded it, and still got same error :( to be more clear, i downloaded the "Version 1.00 [Patch](2).zip" one in the description
@@UltimateTracer It looks like that 0000000000009 is supposed to be a System .xyz file that is normally included in the Steam version of Yume Nikki. It's weird that it's crashing since you most likely have this file. If you're using the patch download, have you applied the patch to Yume Nikki? If you're running the patch as-is right now, than I think that may be the problem.

i've recently played it and got an ending, does this mod only have 1 ending?
It has two, however the second one is just a vanity varient of the first, but it uses extra keys for more interactability, so it's a lot funner than the normal version. Hope that helped! :DD

I think the mod is glitched, a lot of the warps are taking me to really random places.
If it's the warp, than all of them should work as intended.
will poniko and monoko be gone in the final ver? having access to the dev room fell very jarring
I have removed them from the Mod, as well as fixed a couple of bugs and added a very miniscule amount of new content that can all be found in the new patch and pre-patched download link.

hey i found a bug. in the dream world, if you go to sleep through the bed and go to the arms world with the staircase, but go back up the stairs to go back, you'll be trapped inside the wall
If I can I'll look at the code again this weekend when I get an opportunity and am not busy with homework. I'll try to get it fixed as soon as possible.
What is in the world 185? Absolutely everyone's game crashes when trying to enter it.
Is there a point in the mod where you get teleported to Map0185, or is this just sheer curiosity?
@@3690712458 No, in the real world in the location of the white desert it is impossible to go further. This error constantly crashes.
@@alleyesonme7611 OOOOOOOH. A couple days prior to release, I was making new maps and altering old ones, deleting some old ones and replacing them, etc., and the real world was affected by this! I thought I had made a replacement for where it led to, but turns out I hadn't. Thank you for bringing this up to my attention. Since that file is now gone, I'll create a new map in replacement to it. Again, thank you.

what's the difference between patched and prepatched
@@dariocontreras20 The patch only contains the new additions to the original game, and therefore cannot be played by itself, however the file size is smaller, although you are required to patch the game yourself.
The pre-patched download bundles the mod with the game so it is pre-installed and can be run immediately, however has a much larger file size.
Very cool mod, but I have a question. Is it normal that I can't move in the water in the pink sea world?
I have fixed 3 bugs so far that have been brought to my attention.
• The train passengers appearing as red squares or completely invisible.
• Not being able to move in the Pink Sea.
• The missing "basic" file that crashes the game (a panorama I forgot to include for the patch).
I'll update the download links in the description to have the latest fix, but for people who have already downloaded the mod, I'll provide a download link that's just a simple drag-and-drop solution to fix these problems I have been notified about.

Theres a problem trying to play this with easyrpg player
The game starts without EasyRPG. If it does not start on your computer, then most likely:
1. You have patched the version with saves or version 0.10. (You need to put a patch on the steam version)
2. You don't have RPGtaker 2003 on your computer.

It's actually a slowed down unused FC World song from either version 0.04 or 0.06.

How do you install this to the steam version?
For the pre-patched build, it contains the original Yume Nikki with the mods contents, so it's just a download and simple run, but it's a larger file than downloading the patch alone.
For the patch, you drag and drop all of its files to the location where your Yume Nikki game is at, replace the nessacary files, and than run.
