Thanks for making this. It's been really helpful for us. For the dual flywheel, what motors did you guys use? We have a similar design with neverest 40 motors and they don't seem to be fast enough.
In the video we are using neverest 20 motors with them geared up around 5:1. We later tried another system using banebots 1:4 gearboxes which are effectively the same but are much more reliable and strong.
Thanks for the video; it helped our team out a lot. One question though, where were you able to find the piece of flex polycarbonate used in the plastic-popper catapult? Our team has been looking for it, but can only find large sheets of it. Thanks again.
Hmm.. Not what I'm looking for... It's more like "throwing" than shooting to me.. The dual flywheel is the best one as "shooting" for more straight trajectory. Especially, for knocking something down with wide flat base
Thank you for sharing the mechanisms. It has really helped our team.
The smile after the launches is priceless
This is a very informative video; it deserves more views.
Nice video! Hope to see you guys at worlds again!

The piece that we used was from andymark. You can use different thicknesses for different levels of speed or distance for shooting.
For the dual flywheel, where did you get your axles?
That thing at the end made me laugh so hard somehow!
who’s watching for ultimate goal?
Thanks!
did you guys use a neverest 20 motor for the dual flywheel?
yes
what was your gear ratio?
I am not sure what it was exactly but somewhere around 5:1 or 4:1

Dope, thanks.
also worth mentioning that over time, rubber bands (and springs, to an extent) do loose some of their elasticity through use.
pew pew pew😁 good job
