    If we got past KC for once, no. Being 0-3 against KC in the post and us losing in the divisional at home back to back years certainly doesn’t help.

    not even a question. McDermott has reached his ceiling. He is not a coach that can get over the hump. Every team that beat KC needed 21 points. Every time Josh got off the field, they were tied or winning or setup to tie. They're wasting JA's prime. Bills need to get serious or they're just the Cowboys happy with mediocrity. • @retrocny5625
    @retrocny5625 5 месяцев назад +11

    Absolutely it should be considered. We're 0-3 against the Chiefs and we've lost the divisional on our home field two years in a row. Allen is 28 years old, and he's not getting any younger, pretty soon you're going to lose some of his dual threat running game, which is what makes him special to begin with. This was a year without Joe Burrow in the AFC playoffs as well. If you couldn't beat the Chiefs now, when are you going to be able to? When Andy Reid retires? When Kelce retires?
    Even if Bass makes the field goal, Mahomes would have nearly 2 minutes and 2 timeouts to go score, and he had been scoring in 5 or 6 play drives all night long. The Bills were allowing nearly 10 yards per play. This is the worst defensive performance I've seen from Buffalo in years. Guys looked lost, I saw blown coverages, I saw guys not showing any real effort at chasing guys down. The D Line got out physicaled massively. Mahomes just literally JOGGING down the sideline for like 30 yards on a scramble, no one around to tackle him. The defense was outschemed and outplayed BADLY.
    I know the injuries play a role, but this game was winnable from start to finish. All they needed was to force ONE punt while they had a lead. Give Josh Allen the opportunity to go down and make it a two possession game. They could never do it. Unacceptable. I would've rather the Bills got blown out, because then it'd force the front office into action and to start making some changes. I do NOT want to see this organization continue settling for underachievement while they have a talent like Josh Allen at QB.

    It was second and 9. On the 26 yard line. The Chiefs had 2 timeouts. You had 3 plays to get the first down. We were going to be at the 17 yard line with 1:30 to play and the Chiefs having run out the clocks.He would have 4 chances to enter the endzone eating up the rest of the clock. They ignore the first down and throw into the endzone on the remaining two downs. Completing the pass or not would stop the clock. In other words, we would return the ball to Mahomes with almost 2 minutes and 2 timeouts regardless of the outcome of the play. In this configuration we would lose anyway. The game was one first down away from winning, never a score away. It was obvious that the objective would not be to score at that moment. The clear, crystal clear target was the first down. The game was in hand. Gain. We had 3 runs to gain 9 yards. And then 4 plays to get into the endzone eating up the rest of the clock. Throwing it into the end zone at that moment twice is playing to lose, it's giving the opponent a chance to win that they no longer had. It is inexplicably playing against your own advantage.
    If our coach called a fake punt from his own 30 yard line with 10 minutes left to play and a 3 point difference on the scoreboard because HE CONSIDERED RETURNING THE BALL TO MAHOMES AS SYNONYMOUS WITH GETTING A TD, as plays later with the chance to kill the clock the decision is to throw in the endzone and return the ball to the same Mahomes with 2 minutes and 2 timeouts to call?

    The thing that kills me about McDermott is how his defense always shits the bed in the playoffs. A complete non-show from the Bills defense last night. As a Jets fan, watching that level of defensive ineptitude made me happy to have Saleh as a HC for a second, which SHOULD NOT be happening under any circumstances 😂 My best friend is a Bills fan and I told him, they’re not getting any younger defensively, and it showed this season. Von Miller is a complete non-factor, Tre White’s time is done, and Micah Hyde was jogging out there all night last night. Matt Milano is a great young piece who was injured too, which was unfortunate for them, but the Bills need to get significantly younger on defense, and that’s a tough thing to do. If I were the Bills I’d be looking for new coordinators ASAP, and trading away the legacy parts of this defense for whatever picks I could salvage. Get more picks, even if they’re late rounders you can use to trade up with, and free up loads of cap to spend on younger guys in FA. Trading for Rasul Douglas was a step in the right direction, but they need to do more.

    It's a silly question! The Bills just weren't a better team than the Chiefs today and it's not about coaching. Their talent on defense is not that great. The Von Miller experiment has backfired - big time!!! Let's not forget that the Chiefs defense didn't look great today either. There doesn't always have to be someone that gets sacrificed in a playoff loss. Sometimes the opponent is just better.

    The Bills ownership is suffering due to bad luck.
    Kim Pegula, owner/manager, of the Bills suffered a heart attack last year, which left her unable to communicate. The bills management has been taken over by Kim's husband Terry.
    So, due to family health problems, the Bills will probably not be making a change in their HC at this time.
    See Wikipedia for Kim Pegula's story....she was born in Korea and abandoned on the street in Soul at the age of 5, and then adopted by an American couple. She grew up in the US an became a college football cheerleader.
    After marring Terry Pegula, Kim then became the owner/manager of the Buffalo Bills.

      This is not how successful businesses are run. The team is not drifting rudderless because the boss got sick a year ago. People are in place to operate the Bills and the Sabres as normal and make any personnel changes that are appropriate. Not only is that in the family's interest, but I assure you the respective league offices would insist on it.
