    Disabled people are not above the law. My service dog barked at someone who startled him. I immediately corrected and left the store. Granted due to spacial issues he ( my service dog wasn't able to tuck in away from the door and got walked into) but I was embarrassed. And I apologized profusely to the customer and the store manager.

    As someone has a small service dog this pisses me off. My service dog has jumped on one person, and it was my best friend to get their attention because they were on the phone and didn't hear the whine IzaBella does when she goes to get me help due to being incapacitated ( she's not a barker unfortunately 😅). Was I happy about finding out she jumped on my best friend HELL NO, but she did what she thought was right by going to someone she knew who was in the same store and getting me help the best way she could. THIS however is just straight up IGNORANCE at its finest.

      It’s not ignorance our laws in Ontario Canada are different so different in fact that a service dog here doesn’t even have to be task trained. My service dog is btw. They are also required to listen to other which is exactly what you are seeing here Eevee was called she came

      @@DaniAlexandriaCanada does not allow service dogs to be off leash, period. Prove me wrong if I am but that's what I've been able to read. Our laws are vastly different than America's but in a negative way. We also are required to show certification and identification if asked for it whereas in the US that is illegal.

    • @DaniAlexandria
      @DaniAlexandria Год назад

      @@justice4bailey Canada doesn’t have service dog laws first of all. The laws are different from province to province. Secondly she was not off leash and thirdly I was following policy instructions for the safety of my medical equipment. This was part 6 of a 2 month situation where this lady was physically assaulting my service dog. She was not supposed to come in the park if I was in the park and the police said the put in the short leash if she DID enter them park so she could not choke my service dog until they got there

      @@justice4bailey if you want to send me a message I would be more than happy to go over the laws with you but you are wrong. Ontario for example does not have certification where as Alberta does. In Ontario guide dogs can get certified service dogs can’t. In Ontario by the law service dogs don’t even have to be trained in anyway (not that I agree and Eevee is trained) you just need to doctors note. In Ontario what would traditionally be considered ESAs are service dogs under the law these laws are vastly different to what the laws are in Alberta or BC

      @DaniAlexandria Maybe you could check your tone as I DID say to correct me if I was wrong. It did not warrant you being snarky. I've looked everywhere I can think of aside from individual provincial sites (stupid on my part, I forgot to check there) and I'm pretty sure on the government's site (federal) it said SD's need certification and handler needs ID. I lived in Ontario for over 15 years and BC for over 10... I know for a fact that what BC says is a handler cannot drop the leash (which is stupid but from what I've physically read, is provincial law). Dude, I'm disabled myself and am not lucky enough to have a SD yet but it is in the plans. It would be nice if the community didn't attack its own people.

      @@Michael_Weirdo I live in Ontario Canada so our laws are different importantly a big difference here is that service dogs HAVE TO listen to others it’s a rule. Park Karen called Eevee over to her. For context this is person who has been stalking and harassing us for months to the point where the police were stationed in the park for 2 weeks this is the first day they weren’t there anymore. I was told if you comes around take off Eevee’s longer leash (which you can see clearly in my full video) leave the shorter leash on if she comes into the park and call the police which is what I did. This lady circled the park for 30 minutes before coming in. I didn’t expect her to come in Eevee was laying down by the stroller while I was pushing the toddler around in a little car. This lady comes into the park and calls my service dog who was off duty at the time. As per her training she listened and came. The lady had treats in her hand because her goal in entering the park was to lure her out of the park why is what she says in the video so she didn’t give Eevee a treat for listening Eevee was looking for the treats. That’s the whole situation. My dog was in control when I processed what was happening I signalled for Eevee to comeback and ignore her quick is shown and that is what Eevee did. At the end of the video you see park Karen getting additional charges

      @@DaniAlexandria I've researched Canada's service dog laws, before. They are similar if not THE SAME as the US. Service dogs legally cannot just run up to random people just because they called for them, that's exactly what a pet does.

      @@Michael_Weirdo that is entirely incorrect because CANADA doesn’t have service dog laws the laws are different from province to province so for example the laws in Ontario are different than Alberta. First of all clearly the stranger didn’t want the dog on her yet the owner still lets her dog jump up on her so the stranger has the right to grab the leash and get the dog off, this “service dog” was brought to a non pet friendly place and the owner was letting the dog mis behave I NEVER EVER let Daisy (my service dog) run around like that off leash even if it’s outside in non pet friendly areas. Also I have a question what breeds is maya mixed with?? to me she looks like she has some Labrador in her

    This is totally off topic but I was wondering when you faint can you still hear and cognitive realize your surroundings without being able to react to it? I’ve been dealing with something similar to you but luckily I can feel them coming on and while I appear to have fainted or appear asleep usually I still hear EVERYTHING I just can’t respond to questions or really move. I can usually mutter one word answers or move my head left or right but being coherent or moving significantly is impossible. I have been treated so badly by the medical field I have panic attacks days before any upcoming appointments so I’m left to figure this out on my own. Any advice you can offer is would be great. I also have many other issues like hyperextending joints, on again off again anemia, and other issues but it’s the collapsing that has me stuck in my home. I rarely go anywhere because this happens every day.

He does not jump on people but he walks around a lot I’m trying to train him to focus on me he lays Disney right by me but then unfortunately today I told people he is in training but they still let their kids stare at my dog which pisses me off. The kid even squirt my dog with a water gun and because he is a service dog in training he didn’t jump or get reactive but he looked at me and I could tell he was scared which pissed me off.

    Now , she still helps me inside the house, but as far as away from a house, time to get another young dog, and try again.
    I do get your point.
    But for me, I am know, I need a younger dog with no phobias now, to start again.

Of corse zoos have them not go to certain areas bc it can cause stress or harm to the animals but they cannot be denied to the whole zoo, private schools are not open to the public so they have the right to deny a service animal. If it’s open to the public like business they cannot deny a service dog unless they are misbehaving. I think you should read the laws
