This is definitely important stuff to consider for the fire service where mileage is a huge factor to consider (or at least it should be)! Plus I need to be strong in an endless amount of positions… Here’s to building the body while saving the body! Thanks Matt!

@WenningStrength I respect you so darn much, brother! These tips are solid advice that keep people healthy, strong and muscular. The 45 degree back extension, most people in my gym overlook it as a weak or useless tool--it's NOT and it's pure gold! Thank you for bringing all these great points, too, (wide grip, deficits, etc.) God bless you, @ Wenning Strength. The world needs more people like you.

I was looking for a variation to do for this block to let my hips get a bit of a break as I can feel a bit of inflamation. I'd considered block pulls before but didn't want to add extra weight and CNS fatigue - making them tempo block pulls from 2 inches off the floor should really help with the hips, the sticking point, and hypertrophy!

Just strap a stronger hair tie around your fingers and expand all of your fingers. Do this between your sets or throughout your days for 4x25 2x100 or as Long and often you want. Trust me this eliminated all of my elbow pain!! And it will not damage you and it is cheap!!‘

The 45°hyper using a wide grip is the greatest posteiror chain exercise. period!
The big problem is it's hard to find a high enough setup to achieve the necessary ROM (90° hip flexion).
