I have been watching many choirs doing this piece... They all beautiful but only this group actually give the words of prayer REAL feeling. They sing with so much emotion ecstasy in their voices... By the second stanza "Sancta Maria" the emotional tenderness and the colour change are both magical. All is well when the Amen arrives :-)
The only thing better than hearing it live in that room is performing it in that room.. you have no idea. I had that privilege once in a similar room, you cant describe it. Great job guys..
I listened to this once ... then twice ... then three times ... each and every time I listen to it, I keep hearing more beautiful parts. It is one beautiful song. For sure.
BRAVO. I heard Chanticleer sing this at the Carmel Mission, up close and personal (I was sitting in the front row). Their version -- the first time I'd heard this beautiful piece -- left me in tears. But this version is even better. Wonderful, thank you.
Absolutely wonderful...loved it so much! I can well appreciate the love of choral music which went into this rendition... and yes...I agree...the human voice can be most beautiful. I've sung harmony from when I was so very young...over 70 years ago... it was almost automatic for me .I've sung choral "church music" and Barbershop style...but now (sighs) my voice is gone (Drat!) and I miss it so much. I can only sing along in my mind these days...
I keep returning to this beautiful performance. The timing seems right as does the emphasis and reduction. I sounds like everyone singing believes every word they are singing.

Awesome! Unless you are a singer you would not believe the range of the human voice. These young men are extremely gifted. God bless them!
I have to wonder about the sad lives of the people who gave this sublime performance a thumbs down.

Best performance of this song I have heard. Have sung this many times and still gives me chills.

What a gifted group of young men...BRAVO!!
So magnificent...the holy spirit is moving in this one!!!!!
That was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Thank you for sharing
Glorious. One of my favorite pieces of music ever.
How can anyone give this beautiful version a thumbs down? Incredible.
I listened to this once ... then twice ... then three times ... each and every time I listen to it, I keep hearing more beautiful parts. It is one beautiful song. For sure.
Serenely Beautiful.
My god, you TRULY are outstanding!!! Splendid phrasing, tempo like the very breath of God, dynamics and power.... Go and make a record!!!
PLEASE make a record!!! I can't stop listening to this!
Proof positive that the most beautiful musical instrument is the human voice
beautiful way to pray every day!!!!!!!

Wow! Simply incredible! A masterpiece!

truly sublime
I LOVE This....totally beautiful.....would love hearing them live! thanks :)
Oh my god, I was actually in the concert choir during this time. Man, Fermata Nowhere ...havent heard that name in a long time
I have to say this is one of the most moving performance of Biebl's Ave Maria :)
The only thing that could make this better would be hearing it live, in that cathedral.
This is really, really extraordinary for a bunch of American college guys! Wowowow! My only wish: a bit more Tenor 1. But otherwise: spectacular!
I love this piece. Another beautiful account from North America is the version of the Vancouver Cantata Singers from 2009 on youtube.
I wish I could have heard this in person
I did...and it was magical!

I’m so sad I never got to audition for fermata nowhere before they stepped down :(
I´m trying to convince my friends to sing this beautful song. Nobody has donde here where I live
Rafael Villian
It's not so easy.
Super hard, comrade.
Miraculous....
Thank you for such a beautiful rendition. The overtones were massive overkill :')
*sigh's right!
The only thing that might make this better is audio quality, i'm sure they sounded great live tho.
It sounds better with the reverb of the cathedral
I changed it, but could hear nothing :(
replace [dot] with .
;)
Their voices are rich and the cathedral certainly helps them, but their intonation is not accurate, both in the full ensemble and in the solo chants.
You are wrong
Sigh*
