No other melody evokes the Lord as much as this song. It's as though it came down from heaven. Chills go up and down my spine throughout the entire song. So ethereal.

Agree, USSR was extremely malignant towards creative talanted people. It was easier for V.Vavilov to write using somebody's name. It is time to give composer respect and recognition.

This music was composed by the Soviet composer Vladimir Vavilov in the 60s of the 20th century, and the author indicated the Italian Giulio Caccini. He had no other opportunity to publish music of such content at that time.

Esta Ave María, pues, NO es de Caccini (1551-1618). Fijarse que sólo se dice Ave Maria y se quita el resto de la oración Vladimir no puso su firma en la grabación y un amigo organista de Vladimir, (siguiendo la costumbre del mismo Vladimir) puso a Caccini como autor de esta maravillosa música y así ha llegado hasta nuestros días.
