Glad you told him that weird people exist no matter their orientation. People love to forget that the people with the highest rates of harassment towards other groups are cis, straight men lol. I understand why an experience like that can make one wary, but we really shouldn't judge a whole group of people due to a few bad apples. We should be all for punishing or calling those weirdos out though, makes everyone a little safer.
I felt so relieved right after he answers the question. Honestly, im uncomfortable when he ask that question to Jay and make assumptions towards gay knowing that he is gay. nevertheless, he apologizes so its all good.
