    • @shekhar6267
      @shekhar6267 3 года назад

      @@aarontan6871 Thank you for replying. I will consult a architect because I don't know how suitable it would be in hot country like India where temperature are mostly above 35°C entire year considering Black colour absorbs heat. Also does the house looks regal even when you see it front of your eyes or is it one of those instagram houses.

    • @aarontan6871
      @aarontan6871 3 года назад

      @@shekhar6267 I would comment that, it's eye catching due to the context of the building with houses around using more lighter colours like yellow and white, but as the designer mention, you become more focus on the extra colours around it, ie the plants and the interior, the owner actually opens his louvers quite often. And you get to see the wood and mood lighting coming from the house. To say that it's just an Instagram house, is neither false nor true. It's a type of taste, I would say. In its way, it can be majestic for some. For me, it seemed more of a personal choice of the occupant more then anything.

    I love the common theme among many of the houses that is the seamless transition from interior to exterior or also bringing significant natural beauty indoors. Atriums, walls that open to balconies, and terraces above atriums leading up to skylights all make the homes feel as if they are in harmony with nature instead of fighting to keep it out.
    I've seen this technique incorporated in malls in which the hallways connecting the stores have open walls allowing airflow and views of valley hillsides and high rise condo units with a built in tree planter level with the floor greeting you as you enter the space. These types of buildings are in climates with small annual temperature fluctuations located in parts of South America and the south east Asia.
    In America, it seems more common than not to design with the intention of keeping nature out and aircon in. Due to its latitude in the northern hemisphere, most of the country experiences temperature fluctions throughout the year, with the notable exception of temperate areas of California.
    The houses featured on this channel are a nice introduction not only to fine interior design choices but also to a larger theme of incorporating nature within the build. The exposure the occupants have to nature must be calming and soothing. The designs are truly inspiring.
    Tangent: This request is probably out of the scope this channel. It would be interesting to see some of the new designs in Norway and Sweden. Their modern building revolution centered around utilizing their carefully managed sustainable forests is interesting. The country has focused on using timber as a primary building material. The buildings are quite unique, and their nationally managed techniques for ensuring forestry is nondestructive and sustainable is perhaps the best in the world. And the jambu air roots damage my parents house even it already chopped half last decade ago. When you cut and chopped the tree, make sure all the roots goes out too. While I applaud the efforts, there are a few issues: 1. How does thy get planning permission when they are so at add with house surrounding and most worrisome, it is much taller. It will affect ventilation to neighbour, 2. There is not much Malaysia element there. Leopard tree is not native to Malaysia. A typical of colonial style adaptation of Malaysia weather, Having said that, they bought an old house to renovate which stop all those ghastly looking new built originally rainforest. Emphasis on ventilation and light is great

    Black exterior absorbs heat right? So How does it cope with tropical Malaysian climate?

      Right I was going to build the same in India but my plot is south facing and a black hous will definitely be a furnace. Can you tell me is the black paint or tile or some marble.

      Every project brief would have different requirements. For this case, having a garage wasnt the priority. In which if commuting with a car isnt a priority, i think sacrificing the garage was a clever move. Just my personal opinion =)

    I am very curious how you got the municipal approved the renovation plan? My house renovation got so many restrictions and not to mention to build like yours. I still cannot figure out, if you can advise me. The municipal officer said unless I built out of plan, no CCC and get fines. I am headache

      Hi did you build your own or you hired an architect to do the planning? Licensed and reputable contractor also one of the criteria to look after. An architect should have backup plan and good authorities legal term exposure to fill in the loophole where it needed. Bcs if those architect smart enough, they could counter the legislation stated. If you understand reverse psychology method, it just the same concept.
