I remember I was in Art class in High School when Heart first came out, I was 16, and was like...WOW! That voice! I knew they were gonna be around for a long time...who knew, they'd cover the Mighty Led Zeppelin, at the Kennedy Center Honors...Led Zeppelin...with John's son on the drums for that performance...worth the watch...by the way
Ann Wilson has one of best voices in rock! Her sister Nancy Wilson is a badass guitarist and also has a beautiful voice. Behind Rush and Zeppelin Heart is one of my favourite bands. Songs to check out Barracuda Magic Man Heartless Crazy on you to name a few. Cheers
I love how much you appreciate Ann Wilson's voice. She really can't be beat in terms of rock vocals. Live she is just incredible. Heart has had an amazing career. I saw someone mention Mistral Wind. You would love that. Or Straight On -- the live version from this same concert, Alive in Seattle, is superb. And one of their mellower songs, Love Alive is pretty amazing.
I saw them cover this in the early 80's and they were amazing. This is a great performance, but Anne was already 53 years old when this was made. She sounded even MORE amazing, when she was more like 33.
Saw her in 1977 10 ft away from the stage. She was a beautiful 20 something-year-old, yeah, but the music was probably one of the best concerts I've ever seen
Seattle, home town crowd Seattle LOVED Heart! It was always a feeling of “coming home” after a big tour. You could start back at the beginning with their first couple of albums. A great rocker is Barracuda, I believe their first big hit . Watch it live. Heart is another of those bands (like Zeppelin whom The Wilson sisters adored) who had so much energy and charisma on stage. And you’ve yet to see them when They were still young
And here we are, ladies & gentlemen, the female Robert Plant! Heart became very well known for their Zeppelin covers - they wore their influences quite clearly on their sleeve! For our 10th anniversary (2013), my wife surprised me with tickets to Heart, which was definitely on my bucket list. When we got to the show, I still didn't know who the opener was, but I was noticing a good deal of the crowd wearing Led Zeppelin shirts - didn't think much of it - again, Heart does Zep covers (and I don't know how many guys are truly comfortable wearing Heart shirts!) Then I found out, the opener was the Jason Bonham Experience - so here's John 'Bonzo' Bonham's son & his band, doing the opener! It was a night of Heart and Led Zeppelin - probably one of the BEST 1-2 punch shows of my life! The last 6 songs Heart did with Jason, and were Zep covers: The Battle of Evermore, The Song Remains The Same, The Rain Song, Immigrant Song (!!!! HOLY SHIT!!!!), Kashmir (!) & Stairway To Heaven - Ann was hitting notes Plant couldn't dream of hitting!!
Ann was In her late fifties in 2003., I think? Yeah. They can rock. Barracuda and Crazy On You are probably their best rock songs, but if you really want to hear Ann’s voice shine through, try Dog and Butterfly.
She’s got such a beautiful voice she can sing like a Lady and throw out that raspy Rock voice like the rest of the guys that can do it. She’s an absolute master
Anywho... I'd start with their early stuff. Barracuda or Crazy On You are both excellent choices. Nancy does an epic guitar solo at the beginning of Crazy. She's a complete badass.
Heart deserves a complete deep dive. Start here: Crazy On You (Live 1978) Barracuda Dreamboat Annie Heartless Kick It Out Even It Up Straight On Mistral Wind Bad Animals Alone Never What About Love These Dreams Bebe Le Strange City's Burning White Lightning and Wine Sing Child Little Queen Lost Angel Vainglorious Dog and Butterfly Rockin Heaven Down Down On Me Battle of Evermore Cover (2002) A Million Miles Back to Avalon Wild Child (Live 2002) Black on Black II Wait for an Answer No Quarter (Cover 2016)
Ann Wilson's voice is sublime - I am here for your journey into the Heart rabbit hole - try Barracuda, Straight On, Crazy On You, Dog & Butterfly, Fallen From Grace, How Can I Refuse, Alone, Back to Avalon, Wild Child, Black On Black and for Nancy Wilson lead vocals, These Dreams, Will You Be There, There's The Girl or Stranded
For a deep dive try Devil Delight, Straight On, and Love Alive. This band has dozens of really good songs across a wide range of genres, from folk to hard rock. I saw them as an opening act in 1975, and was blown away. Enjoy.
HEART has so MANY songs that would knock you out....I do not know where to begin!! I loved them all through high school and college. Ann Wilson STILL has the voice to do these songs and she is 72! May I suggest MISTRAL WIND, COOK WITH FIRE, LOVE ALIVE, ROCKIN' HEAVEN DOWN & STRANGE NIGHT. They are incredible musicians and still are-to this day.
This entire concert is on DVD and can be found all over RUclips and it is INCREDIBLY good! The band behind Ann and Nancy is excellent and includes Mike Inez on bass - veteran working with Ozzy and Alice in Chains. The show also includes an acoustic cover of LZs Battle for Evermore with Nancy on mandolin and Ann on acoustic guitar - their harmonies on that are unbelievably good!
Mike Inez from Alice In Chains on bass and Scott Olson on guitar! Watch Magic Man from this same show, Ann is singing barefoot and Scott rips the lead solo. It was the last show of the tour, at home in Seattle.
Heart is the only band I have ever seen that does Led Zeppelin justice!! Check out their cover of Kasmir with Jason Bonham and also The Battle of Evermore.
Two of my favorite groups are Heart and Home Free! So exited to be following you on your journey discovering each of them. Really enjoying your reactions and commentary and reliving my excitement and love for these groups through you! As a long time, diehard Heart fan (known as a Heartmonger) I would like to suggest some not as mainstream Heart songs for you to consider. How Deep It Goes (Dreamboat Annie 1976) Love Alive (Little Queen 1977) Little Queen (LIttle Queen 1977) Heartless (Magazine 1978) Without You (Magazine 1978) Cook With FIre (Dog & Butterfly 1978) Mistral WInd (Dog & Butterfly 1978) Bebe le Strange (Bebe le Strange 1979) Sweet Darlin (Bebe le Strange 1979) What Is And What Should Never Be (Zeppish 1995) Make Me (Jupiters Darling 2004) Oldest Story In The World (Jupiters Darling 2004) Down The Nile (Jupiters Darling 2004) Fallen Ones (Jupiters Darling 2004) Lost Angel (Jupiters Darling 2004)
Heart started off as a Led Zeppelin Tribute band. That's why they did the Stairway To Heaven show. You should check out their Battle Of Evermore video.
Love how you are going in deep on Heart and every time you're stunned... Urge you to check out Fanatic, their 2nd most current studio album, and there's not a single throwaway song on it... it's a gem... so damn good start to finish.
I concur...I LOVE Fanatic! So many good songs on that album. " 5 Million Miles" and "Rock Deep"(Vancouver) are my favorites from that album. It's hard to choose though.
Heart were heavily influenced by Zeppelin and Ann absolutely adores and respects Robert to no end so anytime Heart covers Zeppelin it’s gonna be a good time!!! Ann Wilson has the best voice in rock imho…☮️
Definitely need to listen Crazy on you in a live version, and Barracuda... this has to be the best channel on yt, both of my favorite bands (Led and Heart) being reacted. Wishing the best of luck, from Brazil. 👊🏻👏🏻
Heart are one of the few bands that has Zeppelins’ blessing to cover their songs. However, they are a great band in their own right, not a cover band, who’s early music (70’s- early 80’s) you should definitely check out. Barracuda (their first big hit about management, I believe, that’s much more subtle than Queens Death on Two Legs 😁), Magic Man, Crazy on a You...are all good songs to start with!
It’s hard to tell, but that might be Jason Bonham, son of LZ’s drummer John, on drums. Jason asked LZ if he could form a tribute band and they said yes. The Wilson sisters did part of the tour with them. They did an amazing cover of Kashmir about six months after the Kennedy Center Honors performance in 2012. Let me see if I can find the link for you.
To see Ann's powerhouse voice you should listen to "Break" from the Bebe Le Strange album (which is a perfect album) and also Mistral Wind and the cover Tell It Like it is... Their Rock n Roll cover from when she was young is also FIRE 🔥
They do amazing covers of Misty Mountain Hop, and I'd love to hear them cover Rain Song.Nada One, or Dream of the Archer are two of my all time favorite Heart songs.
The Alive in Seattle is a great live video. When you get to the Heart song "Alone," the Alive in Seattle version blows away the album version. You may want to compare them.
Have you reacted to their Led Zep tribute at the Kennedy Center doing Stairway right in front of LZ ? It’s probably the best cover of anything you’ll ever see. Heart began as a Zep cover band when they were kids.
Just discovered your channel. I love seeing somebody 40+ years younger than me reacting to LZ the same way I did way back. Except all I had was a vinyl record and my imagination. We would listen to full zep albums over and over just memorizing every note played every word sang. And I recommend Barracuda by Heart!
I got to see them do a cover of Zeppelin's "Rock n Roll" about 45 years ago. Do some searching here on RUclips. There are a 💩load of Heart doing Zeppelin covers throughout the years. I've seen Kashmir, Immigrant Song, Going to California to name a few.
Isn't it incredible? Almost nobody can cover the ZEP and do their songs Justice. And here we are, they do! And it's girls for crying out loud! Unbelievable!
Here they're covering another Zeppelin song (just the sisters; the drummer comes in too) = "Battle Of Evermore" - ruclips.net/video/IEuL18emstg/видео.html You probably saw this already... (they cover Stairway To Heaven w/Jason Bonham as the Boyz from Zep watch in awe) - Heart (Zep tribute) - Stairway To Heaven = ruclips.net/video/LFxOaDeJmXk/видео.html
Nancy is playing a Gibson SG and the kid a Gibson Les Paul the other guitarist is playing a Fender bass of some sort. Depending on the song Jimmy Page played both and the famous Double necked SG in Stairway. Just saying... First concert... Zeppelin 73.
Ok, You really need to react to Janis Joplin- Ball and Chain. Live at the Monterey Pop Festival 1967. Watch the in concert performance video not the studio version. She will blow you away! She is considered to be one of the greatest female rock singers of all time.
Recommend you check out this short documentary film which will give you a better idea of Heart in their absolute prime ... ruclips.net/video/GaUPb0sKYNY/видео.html. Ann and Nancy Wilson are two of the most talented, beautiful and influential female rockers of all-time. I find their albums "Dreamboat Annie" and "Little Queen" from the mid 1970's to be absolutely magical from start to finish. Cheers.
Heart covers a lot of Zeppelin. They fully admit to using the galloping bass line from Achilles in Barracuda. They do a really good rendition of Battle of Evermore in addition to other Zep songs that I can't remember right now.
I been telling people here that Ann Wilson is the Greatest Female Rock Singer 😎
On their early greatest hits album, They covered Rock and Roll live 👍
I remember I was in Art class in High School when Heart first came out, I was 16, and was like...WOW! That voice! I knew they were gonna be around for a long time...who knew, they'd cover the Mighty Led Zeppelin, at the Kennedy Center Honors...Led Zeppelin...with John's son on the drums for that performance...worth the watch...by the way
By that time, wasn't she in here 60ties?? Any doubt about her being the greatest female rock vocalist??
100% agree ❤❤❤

Greatest rock queen ever!
Their albums, "Dreamboat Annie," "Dog And Butterfly, " and "Little Queen" are outstanding. All are wonderful works!

Back home in Seattle... Saw them in 1977 in Seattle, and they were amazing.
Ann and Nancy are huge Zepplin fans. And it shows. Not many people can pull off Plants vocals but she's amazing. I saw them live in 1979 ❤
Nope, Ann is not kidding you. 💚
Chills! Yes! She is incredible! Yes! Great reaction bro!

I've loved them since the 70s! More Heart!
Thank you for posting a playlist. I search all your Heart reactions and only 5 came-up.
Wish you would give Nancy equal praise.
Love how you are going in deep on Heart and every time you're stunned... Urge you to check out Fanatic, their 2nd most current studio album, and there's not a single throwaway song on it... it's a gem... so damn good start to finish.

You really should check check out Hearts cover of No Quarter live at the Royal Albert Hall
"Straight On" is probably my favorite Heart song - so tough!
They're a good band, no question. They were heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin, but most bands were!
This cover does make you sweat and sting.
You should check out the live version of their song bebe la strange it is awesome the one i am talking about is live in seattle with dave Navarro

Quite a musical trip, you have been on! Nice!

It's actually Ben Smith - longtime drummer who supported Ann and Nancy over the years.
To see Ann's powerhouse voice you should listen to "Break" from the Bebe Le Strange album (which is a perfect album) and also Mistral Wind and the cover Tell It Like it is... Their Rock n Roll cover from when she was young is also FIRE 🔥
Dream of the Archer is awesome as wrll as Mistral Wind
They do amazing covers of Misty Mountain Hop, and I'd love to hear them cover Rain Song.Nada One, or Dream of the Archer are two of my all time favorite Heart songs.
You should really listen to the song Dog and Butterfly from this same live show. It's absolutely stunning!
I love the way you react ❤️
The Alive in Seattle is a great live video. When you get to the Heart song "Alone," the Alive in Seattle version blows away the album version. You may want to compare them.

She's the best, and makes it look sooo easy.
That was superb....Heart are superb
Seen them do a few LZ covers at their shows.
Truly are Zep fans making that Kennedy Center Honors tribute all the more...
YAAAAS!!
🔥🔥❤❤🔥🔥❤❤
Have you reacted to their Led Zep tribute at the Kennedy Center doing Stairway right in front of LZ ? It’s probably the best cover of anything you’ll ever see. Heart began as a Zep cover band when they were kids.
He did 🙂 I was going to comment that Ann could be the only rock vocalist to pull that off... as we can all witness here. That tribute was flawless.
I was there!!
Heart LOVE Zeppelin!!
New to me. Legends.
Robert Plant and Jimmy Page THE RAIN SONG LIVE UNPLUGGED

BarraCuda, live, 1977….Crazy on You, live, 1978.
Heart is well worth a deep dive
Just discovered your channel. I love seeing somebody 40+ years younger than me reacting to LZ the same way I did way back. Except all I had was a vinyl record and my imagination. We would listen to full zep albums over and over just memorizing every note played every word sang.

Also check out their version of Battle of Evermore from the same show. Chill inducing.
HIGHLY recommend listening to Mistral Wind, especially the live version from that same concert
I got to see them do a cover of Zeppelin's "Rock n Roll" about 45 years ago.

I've seen Kashmir, Immigrant Song, Going to California to name a few.
Ann Wilson=sublime
That was awesome! I've never heard this cover before, just the original.
The blonde on guitar is Nancy's sister Anne
You should have heard, and seen, her in 76. Big crush girl... Nancy too for that matter. Lol...
Heart loved Zepplin and tried to be the female Zepplin. They nailed it with talent.
Nancy bringing it.
I think she was in her 50's or almost when she performed this!
You may also want to check out Barracuda, Heart’s Crazy on You, Alone, These Dreams, I know you already reacted to Magic Man. 😊
Saw her in 2018. She opened with The Real Me by The Who.
Isn't it incredible? Almost nobody can cover the ZEP and do their songs Justice. And here we are, they do! And it's girls for crying out loud! Unbelievable!
The Wilson sisters have been covering Led Zep for decades. They have it down.
Here they're covering another Zeppelin song (just the sisters; the drummer comes in too) = "Battle Of Evermore" - ruclips.net/video/IEuL18emstg/видео.html
You probably saw this already... (they cover Stairway To Heaven w/Jason Bonham as the Boyz from Zep watch in awe) - Heart (Zep tribute) - Stairway To Heaven = ruclips.net/video/LFxOaDeJmXk/видео.html

there famous song is barracuda
Oh man LISTEN TO ROAD HOME particularly Crazy on You, Alone, Cherry Blossom
Check out Black on Black from Desire Walks On...
Ok, You really need to react to Janis Joplin- Ball and Chain. Live at the Monterey Pop Festival 1967. Watch the in concert performance video not the studio version. She will blow you away! She is considered to be one of the greatest female rock singers of all time.
No auto tune and in her Mid 50's when she did this. Name another artist that does the same.
female version robert plant's voice in the studio.
Too many great songs and big hits to name from these RRHOF inductees, but a few obvious ones include ... "Barracuda", Crazy on You", "Alone", etc.
She has the perfect voice to cover Led Zeppelin songs.
You wanna see a performance that will blow your mind check this one out Ann was incredible doing Zepplin
ruclips.net/video/LFxOaDeJmXk/видео.html
Dont forget to tell everyone to checkput your reaction to this song by Beth Hart :)
Mike Inez on bass.
My dream concert: Wilson, Wilson, Page, Jason Bonham, Jones. Go ahead take my money.... shit
So much power and control and dare I say sounds better than Robert Plant. And Nancy,... who sounds and looks better than her guitar playing?
Please create a Heart playlist.
Yes, a great cover and Ann Wison has a great voice but if you get this blown away by a cover I can't wait till you get to the real thing.
Cheers.
And I believe John Paul jones was sitting in with them that night
He wasn't at this concert. You're probably thinking of the 1995 The Road Home tour.
Again Janis Joplin- Ball and Chain. Live at the Monterey Pop festival 1967. Live performance video. PLEASE!
Hearts best song is Crazy on You! Studio first!
Just check out any of the songs already listed below and you won't go wrong.
That was awesome but it sure took alot of musicians to make one Jimi Page. LOL
They are the only ones they can do zepplin better than zepplin..
What. They did a cover? Obviously, I just watched it. Where have I been though? Heart? Ann? Nancy? What was that?
Heart covers a lot of Zeppelin. They fully admit to using the galloping bass line from Achilles in Barracuda. They do a really good rendition of Battle of Evermore in addition to other Zep songs that I can't remember right now.
Ive seen both Zep and Heart and IMHO Heart does Zep live better than Zep does
