    Thank you so much! The video was very helpful. When do I introduce a child to the pegging activity and when is a child ready to start writing?

    • @SunshineTeachersTraining
      @SunshineTeachersTraining  3 года назад +2

      You are very welcome. You can introduce this at around 3 years of age. A child can start using a pencil to scribble at around 2.5 and writing by 3+

      Try simple household chores - wiping a table, peeling a banana, wiping windows, simple stacking of blocks, transferring with the fingers

    How can I grade the pegging activity from easy to challenging ?

    • @SunshineTeachersTraining
      @SunshineTeachersTraining  9 месяцев назад

      That's a great question! Grading the pegging activity in Montessori is a wonderful way to meet each child at their own level of development. Here's how you can make it easy to challenging:
      Size of Pegs: Start with larger pegs that are easier to grasp and manipulate. As children gain proficiency, gradually introduce smaller pegs, which require more precise fine motor skills.
      Number of Pegs: Begin with fewer pegs on the board and increase the number as the child becomes more comfortable. This adds complexity and requires them to focus and plan their actions.
      Colors and Shapes: You can use pegs of different colors and shapes. Start with matching simple shapes and colors and progress to more complex combinations, like matching both color and shape.
      Pattern Cards: Provide pattern cards that guide the child's peg placement. Start with straightforward patterns and advance to more intricate designs.
      Repetition: You can have the child complete the activity multiple times, which enhances their concentration and coordination. Increase the complexity of the patterns or the number of repetitions over time.
      Time Challenge: For older children, introduce a time challenge. Set a timer and encourage them to complete the pegging activity within a specific time frame, adding an element of speed and focus.
      Remember to observe the child's readiness and adjust the activity accordingly. The goal is to provide just the right amount of challenge to keep them engaged and motivated while fostering their growth and development. 😊🔵🟢🟣
