Hi there! Thank you for your interest in the containers we use for our Montessori materials. We've sourced them from various places to find just the right ones for our needs. Some of the containers were purchased from suppliers in Singapore, while others were found in the UK. Each set was chosen with care to ensure they meet the specific requirements of the Montessori materials they hold. If you're looking for similar containers, I'd recommend checking out educational supply stores or online marketplaces in these regions for a good selection. Hope this helps, and if you have any more questions or need further recommendations, feel free to ask!
Hi! I love these videos- they have been so helpful to me! Could you possibly make one explaining when someone should start the pink series? What are the pre reading learning sequences I should do before to ensure my son is ready for the pink series? He is 3.5- high functioning autistic! I think he is ready- but didn’t know if there were indicators to look for. Thank you!

Your youtubes are my bible! Thanks for teaching! English is my second language and I tried to teach my son to read. I might messed up and have taught him pronunciation too soon by mistake. He started biluilding words and I have told him sounds as well. He listened the "aunt on the apple" soung. I tried to fix his sounds but I don't want to keep correcting his words. Since I mistakenly introduced him pronunciation too early, he has made up the word by himself. He either says it's too difficult or makes wrong sounds. Can you help me how to fix this? I tried to teach right way and want him to interested in books.
Hi, thank you for the great video. I have a question: my child is 4 and already reading quite a bit ( she knows a lot of sounds and has memorized a lot of words) someone gave me the pink series and I want to use them but I’m wondering if I need to modify the sequence of it. Do I do everything like starting from zero or can I skip few steps in case is too easy for her at the beginning. Hope this makes sense. Thank you

Great question! In the Montessori Pink Series, we start by introducing the short vowel sounds of "a," as in "cat" and "rat." Consistency in sound helps children build a solid foundation in early reading. As they progress, we introduce the idea that some letters, like "a," can make different sounds depending on the word. We use additional materials and activities to explore these variations in pronunciation as their reading skills develop. It's all about layering their understanding step by step. Please watch our video on the Green Series to see how its done
Hi again! Do you ever supplement the sandpaper letters with other activities to help children learn the letter sounds? Or have you found that the children tend to do well with just the sandpaper letters?
My child is multilingual, his mother tongue are Chinese and Catalan. He also understand English to some level. Is there anywhere I can find the relevant materials and method to introduce Catalan and Chinese to my child in a Montessori way? Thank you!
Hi Ms. How long do we need to finish each steps? And how early we can start with our child? Is there any ideal age for a child to start the pink series?
The long vowel sounds are taught later when we do the green series - one at a time. You can watch this video to get a rough idea: ruclips.net/video/z4KoIpW1W-w/видео.html

How does the pink series apply to a different language (more phonetic than English) where the CVC words aren’t absolutely necessary? Can there be non CVC words in the pink series as long as they are phonetic and made out of 2 or 3 letters. Latin/Romanic language, like Montessori’s mother tongue, are highly phonetic as they mostly have a sound for each letter and each letter in a word is sounded out. Not sure if that makes sense 😅 With that said, in such a phonetic language I don’t see why there can’t be words in the form of VCC or CCV? I see my almost 4 years old interested in reading and I’m trying to “translate” all of this information into our mother tongue to try and teach her at home but although I have asked a few people about transition to a foreign language other than English I still don’t feel confident enough I have actually grasped the concept to be able to start. Unfortunately, there’s not much information on this in my language to just be able to go ahead and I’m not a teacher, never been and probably never will be very good at teaching anyway. But I do want to give it a try. My daughter will start school next year and she will be taught all this in English there anyway, maybe not in the Montessori way but here in UK they use the phonics system in most schools now anyway. One last question. I honestly cannot afford to invest in the authentic materials. Can we skip the metal insets or is there something else we could use instead that I can DIY? Are the metal insets very important and wort investing it now that my little one is almost 4?
Alright, in the hope that you will actually see my comments and make the time to reply, which I will highly appreciate, there’s one more thing I’d like to ask. Should I just start with English language and get her all started for school next year? And just put our mother tongue on hold for now and wait introducing reading and writing until she’s confident enough with the English language? I surely don’t want to overwhelm her with 2 languages simultaneously. It’s one thing to learn to speak more than one language and another to learn reading/writing 2 or more at the same time.
Hi Natalia - you had a question about using your mother tongue and I am not able to find it. In the first 6 years of life the child is in the stage of the absorbent mind. This is the BEST time ever to expose them to multiple language and they will easily and effortlessly pick it up. Have a look at this video: ruclips.net/video/zLWCp3tGJO4/видео.html

Since I mistakenly introduced him pronunciation too early, he has made up the word by himself. He either says it's too difficult or makes wrong sounds. Can you help me how to fix this? I tried to teach right way and want him to interested in books.
Thank you - keep watching
When do you begin writing excersises
We give offer them the writing tools and opportunities to write after each material is presented.
Thank you
Since you are homeschooling you may skip a few steps.
Thankyou STT🙏🏼 This is very helpful.
You're so welcome!

How do you address the various ways "a" is pronounced. For example, in rat vs can.
@SunshineTeachersTraining Thank you very much!
I tried kidkenmontessori. It was really good.
Good to know!
Loved this
Thanks for watching
Hi again! Do you ever supplement the sandpaper letters with other activities to help children learn the letter sounds? Or have you found that the children tend to do well with just the sandpaper letters?
Yes we do - always! The sandpaper. letters are never enough. We do a lot of games and activities to reinforce the letter from and sound.
My child is multilingual, his mother tongue are Chinese and Catalan. He also understand English to some level. Is there anywhere I can find the relevant materials and method to introduce Catalan and Chinese to my child in a Montessori way? Thank you!
I am afraid I do not have much knowledge of this. But I know many students of mine are able to find ways to apply the Montessori method
Wow very informative 👍👍👍👍👍

Hi Ms. How long do we need to finish each steps? And how early we can start with our child? Is there any ideal age for a child to start the pink series?
Hi Putri. You can start Pink Series at 2.5 years. It should take around 8-12 months to finish each series
I may be wrong but there should be a Montessori sound game your child should master at least before the introduction of the sandpaper letters.
@@phoebewilson6739 I think you are right.

i love the pink tower..
Its amazing isn't it?
I have a question. Does that mean I do not have to teach my child all the alphabet sounds before he starts reading?
You can teach a few and start building words with those... so it does not become too monotonous
❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for watching :)
Not sure if that makes sense 😅
With that said, in such a phonetic language I don’t see why there can’t be words in the form of VCC or CCV?
To be honest, I can only advise you for English. I have not worked with this material in other languages.
