Despite how brutal Jax can be there was never in a million years that he would harm her. Even if he had to do it i guarantee he wouldnt be able to do it.
The saddest part of this scene was the disconnect. Tara actually thought that Jax was going to kill her and Jax was completely flabbergasted that Tara thought he was going to kill her.
@kevinmeeks5169 yeah he absolutely does, but Tara gave up on him because she believed he would never choose her over the club. She believed he was going to do her in in order to protect the club. However, he instead sacrificed himself for her. It showed her how much he loved her and the kids.
I watch this scene more than almost any other! Jax finally understands that Tara believes Jax is going to kill her to save his club, and he finally understands that she is trying to protect the children, willing to die in the attempt. He once told her John should have rescued Jax and Thomas from Gemma and out of the club, but he didn't because he was weak. He finally understands that his wife has more strength than the rest of them put together. Charlie and Maggie did such a stunning job of making you understand the emotions they were both putting out there for Jax and Tara. I wish the show could have gone on forever..with a different ending.....
She thought he would because she knew what happened to rat ass bitches. But his love for her was greater than the rules of that life. She turned into gemma, the one person she hated the most. All the games she played and the snitching she agreed to do and had Wendy do. She wasn't that innocent, and despite her reasons for doing all she did... She got what she deserved!!!!
When she said hes turned into a monster i felt that the truama of seeing so much death has made him unrecognizable from the person we met in the first 4 seasons.
I sobbed so loud from this scene it touched me deeply- but I always knew Jax would never hurt her! She was his life! His everything! He loved her so much
It always puzzles me when people hate on tara for her decisions in this season. She did what she thought she had to in order to keep her children safe but all some people see is the code of silence that tara was about to break by ratting and think its black and white like she's obviously wrong for considering that. Absolute loyalty is not as adorable or honorable as this show tries to make it seem. There's definitely a point where you need to ask when enough is though and take matters into your own hands even if it means turning your back on a gang you once called family. If anything stories like Red dead Redemption 2 are a shining example of the flaws within the 100% loyalty alot of the characters in this show have.
OMG yes! And not one of them had an ounce of loyalty to her. Every single person in her life let her down. She gave everything to Jax and the club, and they all turned their backs on her.
Tara kept thinking Jax would leave for the boys but when she got arrested truth was Gemma would get them look how Gemma pushed Jax.... I think really Tara had a breakdown every one was spiraling out of control
@@kaylakoerper6892 I was never naive enough to believe that Jax and Tara would have a happy ending, but i must admit, her death caught me off guard. I always thought it would be the other way with Jax being the one dying in her arms.
1:30 I feel like if Tara never said this, Jax would of never did what he did after this. He probably would’ve somehow have her gone or far away idk about killing her. But it might’ve turn out different were it not for what she said here. You can even see Jax looking at them a few times to see he was struggling with something he planned on doing.
She could do anything to him or the club even, and still he could NEVER hurt her. I’m sure of it. That’s where Gemma was wrong, she didn’t even know her own son. Thinking Tara betraying him would make him kill her? NEVER!
Well with all due respect, Tara had proper footing here because her main priority was getting her kids to safety an certain events forced her hand. Remember in season 5, Gemma almost killing Abel, the warehouse exploding with her and her kids barely getting out, her getting locked up, Wendy coming back with all her baggage. She needed to get them out. Thats more important than loyalty to Jax.
I loved tara because she loved jax his sons and the rest of the gang but she stood the fuck out of their buisness unless she was asked for help I hated gemma since episode 1 because in her mind she was president of the gang and she tried to run the show
I agree and she constantly manipulated everyone, starting with trying to make Wendy o.d. gemma was an evil bitch. All that said I gotta give props to Katey Sagal acting out that part perfectly. Katey was phenomenal throughout the entire series and I always wanted Gemma dead. Excellent performance by Katey.
I love Jax he was exactly like his mother a user manipulative narcissistic he was everything. His role was masterful he played it well. He couldn’t and wouldn’t see what she was trying to do. He chose the MC over his wife and children and destroyed and lost it all, just like his mother she destroyed Jax in so many ways he couldn’t see his way out. The show was excellent but it was so sad in so many ways.
And that speach Jax gave her about showing her loyalty?! Right in the beginning he made her understand, that the only language of love he understands is loyalty. So she showed him how much loves him, be sacrificing all of her. And what loyalty showed he in return?!!
I know right! Back in season 1 Jax did everything to push her away from this life, she kept coming back telling him how SHE WOULD NEVER TRY TO PUSH HIM AWAY FROM THE CLUB, and here she is 6 seasons later trying to take Abel and Thomas away from their father because she cannot handle the life she’s living with her outlaw husband, she literally broke that family apart with all the bullshit she pulled, Gemma is dead because of her and Jax is dead because of her aswell.

I loved her in season 4/5 when she committed to Jax and the club. I hated her when she turned on Jax and hated her pretty much this whole season. It wasn't until this scene when she realises she made a mistake by no longer believing in him and trusting him he way he believed and trusted her and even after her soul crushing betrayal he forgave her and was willing to sacrifice his life, love and happiness for her and his kids that I could forgive her too. Still wish she stayed loyal tho, she would of made an excellent Queen of the club. I was hoping prison would of hardened her and pushed her further into the life.
