The one thing I really wish my Flint had is those pockets for the reels next to the seat. Can't fit rods next to my seat as well as this one does, but I'm also a bit narrower. Great review, thanks!

It's a great feature for sure, the flint is a nice kayak as well, much slimmer profile I feel ya.

Can you do a video with you standing up and sitting back down to show stability when you do water testing please

Wish they would have done full rod tip protectors on at least one set of the front slots from the factory. When I'm pulling into shore in some spots or getting a lure unstuck from some bushes it nice to have the whole tip covered so it doesn't snag. I guess I can just add them though like I did on the kayak I have now. Other than that I'm excited about the U10. Planning to get one after some people come out with review videos just to make sure there aren't any red flags. Always wanted an unlimited but it's just more kayak than I need and want to transport. So happy they came out with a little brother.

One last thought. I'm interested in using the pivot drive with it. Any chance you can show what that looks like rigged up. It's hard to tell from the pics Nucanoe has posted, but I'm trying to get an idea of how much room it take up in the front and what's left as far a a spot to stand up etc. Thanks!!!

I'm a huge fan of a rod tip protection implementation. The U10 had a lot to offer, I'll have a full-on water run down in the coming weeks. I can look into the Pivot Drive setup, I'll check on that soon if I can get my hands on one.

This is a great walk through and exactly what I was looking for. What is your opinion on going from a motorized Flint (with the NK 180) to a U10 or Unlimited? I've been on the fence about which one to get. I fish larger lakes and the Everglades. Any input would be welcomed.

Marcie, we like bigger on flat water. So, the Unlimited is our 1st choice. We actually have one rigged with a Motor Guide XI3 and it's terrific. We've only paddled the U10 and haven't motorized it, yet. Generally, shorter is slower. That said, they all will work

Thanks for the great walk around!
I got the chance to demo one of these, and am pumped for it on the river! Video on my channel if anybody is interested in what I think this kayak will be great for, and not so great for.

I sold mine. The floor is too narrow. It's uncomfortable to keep your feet so close together all day. The boat is so wide, doesn't make sense to design such a narrow floor. The bigger Ultimate is the same.
