    Merci! You explained it better than most French lessons on line! While I was in Paris "de l'eau" and "une bouteille d'eau" was very confusing to me.

    Salut et merci beaucoup pour la classe ! I apologize If I am being redundant. But i have issues comprehending when to use DE and DU ! I am learning with Duolingo and I was told that DU us for masculine, but so is DE. so when do I use each one? Au revoir , bonne journee !

    It’s says de le doesn’t exist but in my exam I had a question. Il faut de le pâte feuilletée? Why is this? Please explain

      it was a mistake. It's de la pâte feuilletée. pâte is a feminine word.

    in negative sentence - je ne bois pas d'eau. why (d'eau) is coming instead of del'eua?

      As I said in the lesson, it's "je ne bois pas d'eau", because you have a negative sentence (quantity zero). In negative sentences, you have "de" all the time (masculine, feminine, plural).
