I’ve watched my previously favorite aunt and uncle gradually spiraling down into leftism the longer they’ve worked in academia. My aunt retired from a religious university practically an atheist. My uncle still works at a public university despite being almost 80, and he’s devoted to the legacy media and leftist narrative, despite functioning as a capitalist his whole life. Universities don’t educate anymore, and the students aren’t intellectual elites like they used to be. Everybody goes to college, which means a degree means nothing anymore. 90% of my college friends aren’t even working in their degree field, including my spouse and myself. What a joke, and it’s on us.

Same with my husband and I went to college 4 year Bachelor degrees neither of us use it! But we are self-employed so it all worked out but I agree with you that colleges are useless! I think we need to go back to the old ways of having apprenticeships, and more emphasis on trade schools. And at the High school level prepare kids for a career and financial independence rather than just go to college and figure it out there! I've heard from my graduated nieces and nephews that they don't teach kids about banking, writing checks, reconciling a bank statement, making a budget, 401 k plans or savings accounts. Also stuff like leasing or buying a car, or getting a car loan from a credit union before going to the dealership. Schools aren't teaching the basics anymore and that's why we have a block of young healthy people not working with an astronomical college debt hanging over their heads!

Hamas has just gone and killed civilians. The West has done nothing to help the Palestinians as Israel keeps taking more and more of their territory however. It's the fault of the West that it has come to this. First the West decided to take some of their land and give it to Jews in exchange for helping the Palestinians. Since then, Israel has kept taking more and more and these guys are relying on killing civilians because they could never take on Israel's army. It's a very crappy situation. Israel will now smash the Palestinians even more in retaliation. Hamas however, did not attack Israel, they attacked people in their land, which has been occupied. Still no excuse for attacking civilians. Charlie Kirk was not impartial on his stance and this other guy cannot defend Hamas as not being a terrorist organisation when they are literally flaunting their hostages, who are civilians.

I have a friend who served in the Israeli army. He told me about strongholds in schools and hospitals and how hamas soldiers surround themselves with kids when making phone calls from the top of the school.that was a decade ago. They didn’t shoot back then. Now they do

Early life and education
Pike was born in Boston, Massachusetts, son of Ben and Sarah (Andrews) Pike, and spent his childhood in Byfield and Newburyport, Massachusetts.
His colonial ancestors included John Pike (1613- 1688/1689), the founder of Woodbridge, New Jersey. He attended school in Newburyport and Framingham until he was fifteen. In August 1825, he passed his entrance exams and was accepted at Harvard University, though when the college requested payment of tuition fees for the first two years, he chose not to attend.
He began a program of self-education, later becoming a schoolteacher in Gloucester, North Bedford, Fairhaven and Newburyport.
In 1831, Pike left Massachusetts to travel west, first
stopping in St. Louis and later moving on to

When the Mexican-American War started, Pike joined the Regiment of Arkansas Mounted Volunteers (a cavalry regiment) and was commissioned as a troop commander with the rank of captain in June 1846. With his regiment, he fought in the Battle of Buena Vista. Pike was discharged in June 1847. He and his commander, Colonel John Selden Roane, had several differences of opinion. This situation led finally to an "inconclusive" duel between Pike and Roane on July 29, 1847, near Fort Smith, Arkansas. Although several shots were fired in the duel, nobody was injured, and the two were persuaded by their seconds to discontinue it.

I’ve watched my previously favorite aunt and uncle gradually spiraling down into leftism the longer they’ve worked in academia.
My aunt retired from a religious university practically an atheist. My uncle still works at a public university despite being almost 80, and he’s devoted to the legacy media and leftist narrative, despite functioning as a capitalist his whole life.
Universities don’t educate anymore, and the students aren’t intellectual elites like they used to be.
Everybody goes to college, which means a degree means nothing anymore. 90% of my college friends aren’t even working in their degree field, including my spouse and myself.

I think we need to go back to the old ways of having apprenticeships, and more emphasis on trade schools. And at the High school level prepare kids for a career and financial independence rather than just go to college and figure it out there! I've heard from my graduated nieces and nephews that they don't teach kids about banking, writing checks, reconciling a bank statement, making a budget, 401 k plans or savings accounts. Also stuff like leasing or buying a car, or getting a car loan from a credit union before going to the dealership. Schools aren't teaching the basics anymore and that's why we have a block of young healthy people not working with an astronomical college debt hanging over their heads!

Absolutely right. The kid stayed calm. Spoke clearly. Amazing for him to stay composed while being bombarded. And it sucked to have him spoken over like that. However, he was not mis-informed at all. Just because he understands the philosophy of Hamas...doesn't mean he supports terrorism.

Here’s the difference between the boomers and younger gens. Boomers got most of their information from the television, which can be an extremely bias source depending on what you’re watching. Younger gens now get their information from the computer which reaches across the entire world. Is there misinformation online, sure. But you can say the same thing about the television.
Age doesn’t always equate to wisdom. Some people are dumb and ignorant til the day they die.
