Yeah I had the same issue, that's why I gave myself this challenge lol. I'll get to the PS2 controllers sometime, so hopefully that video should give you some tips for fixing them too. Thanks for watching! I'm working on my next one now.
Sega GT has stick drift calibration in the controlling settings of the game. I used that all the time to check for stick drift and replace analog sticks if need be. almost all the controllers i have picked up have had major gouges in the carbon pads in the potentiometers (which creates stick drift). Also you should use Armorall Original Protectant on the thumbsticks bc the rubber wears over time from weathering, and armorall helps bring life back into the rubber :)
Wow, GREAT tips! I'm going to have to try out Sega GT for sure, I never knew any original Xbox games had that functionality. Also I'm assuming your talking about Sega GT 2002 and not GT online too?
