Cleaned up my subscriptions. Bread is one of the few survivors. Bread, hfy girl, explaining computers, net narrator, and two qi gong channels are all that’s left. It’s amazing how fast that all gets out of hand.
Instead of , you can use the standard delimiter for arbitrary text, a null byte (\0). It requires some tinkering with commands and may not work for some non-GNU coreutils (among other compatibility issues), but is nearly guaranteed to avoid collisions.
oh i like this script, i will try to replace dmenu with rofi because i use rofi for all my other stuff, but the rest can pretty much stay the same, maybe i will chang the to something else
I'm not a programmer by trade, to be honest. I'll use Python as needed but generally stick to shell scripts for day to day tasks. I've done a bit of web dev work but nothing serious. That said, I have made some edits in programs I use, so I will be uploading those eventually :^)
I don't think you can "make" a github unless your are going to code the web page. You can create a github account though. I know that's what you meant but I thought I'd be a smartass. LOL
@BreadOnPenguins have you ever thought about a collaboration. I got some really cool dmenu/rofi scripts, some cool minimalist desktops, and a few other things to show off if you ever want to do something like that.
A team of Italian researchers found that penguins use speech patterns that follow the same principles as human linguistics, a trait only ever seen before in humans and some nonhuman primates. Their study, published in 2020, suggested that they even shorten the words they use the most. I'm thinking this is like assigning aliases in .bashrc
Hey Bread, could you do a video about xclip and its corresponding commands in Wayland? I wrote a bunch of helper-scripts and functions that make use of xclip and I would want to use them when I some day switch to wayland. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
Hey, sure I can do that at some point! It would make sense to cover xclip and similar x utilities (and the corresponding wayland counterparts), very useful tools. Thanks for mentioning, and you too! :-)

I have been responsible for many bad moments of Peer Pressure...back in my day.
But now Bread has a Github...YAY!!!
Lol, yup finally made the Github 💯
I don't know if you already know about it, but you can use GNU stow to easily manage your dotfiles, Bread. Thanks for the clipboard stuff!
Thanks for letting me know! I've seen it but have yet to use, might be time to check it out..
No prob :)
I actually do that exact thing. Makes saving the dotfiles, .config and .cashe directories very easy. And allows me to sync them across systems.
Penguins tend to like octopus-cats while in groups, the art of flock's peer pressure is something researches have been looking into for years!
Interesting... ;^)
Yeah, github is awesome. I keep my scripts and config files backuped there.
Nice, that's useful - easy setup if you want to copy everything to a laptop or another system
Your upload schedule always line up with my dinner youtube time 🔥🔥
Lol awesome!
I'm so hyped to see your dwm build on github someday.
Awesome!! Definitely something that will be going up eventually :-)

Perfect thanks for letting me know! I'll have a look at that.
Always, when i see a new wallpapers on your desktop i want the same one on my desktop. ))
Lol this one was actually just a photo of mine! I might host my photos at some point
You could write all links in "about"
Awesome, thank you for deciding on a GitHub!
I love what you doing man ... ❤
Thanks!
okay, that thumbnail got me 😂
Lmao
You bread github just dropped
Yup 🐧

worked like a charm :)
thx Lu.. i mean bread
Good idea, glad it worked! Haha no problem :^)
Cool! Do you do anything with Python or C++ or Go? (Or any other language?) That would be cool too.

LOL, this feels like an average Linux user sort of comment. Fair enough
@@BreadOnPenguins not really an average Linux user comment but you should get the terminology right when talking about these things.

bro you are cruising right along lol
💯 Indeed I am
wallpapers!!!...please
I made a video all about pywal and the typical wallpapers I use!
This particular one was just a photo of mine though lol
No gitTea 🥺
I'll definitely host a site at some point, and probably make videos about setting it up too. Not time yet though ;^)
@BreadOnPenguins I do believe in Hugo supremacy 🗿
What window manager are you running? DWM?
Yup! I've made a video talking about it :-)
@@BreadOnPenguins Perfect! I will go take a look, thanks :)
Make your profile public, then you can make repos you want to hide private ... Not sure why you would want a private account?
Sure I'll make it public. Thanks for reminding me!

That's actually sick! I did not know that, smart guys. Every penguin has a .pengrc in their brain for aliases
ok but have you considered sr.ht?
I didn't even know of that site, thanks for mentioning! I will eventually just self-host.
