I think the extra material on the tongue is meant to connect both of the lockdown straps. Making it look like an infinity sign from a bird's eye view. Love your vids! Looks good!

The shape of the lockdown straps is the Infinity Logo! I think these will be the first Kyries I buy. The cushion setup got me sold.

That jade colorway is 🔥 That's the first time I've thought that about a Kyrie in a LONG TIME.

Hey do you know how to clean these I got the white version and I instantly find black spots on them after a trip to the basketball courts.
Kyries with cushion, no wonder he's not feeling them. I really hope the keep Sue fresh ones release in the states. And yes DHL has greatly improved over the years

Facts. It seems like he loves hard feel the ground cushioning. That’s why I never bought any kyries.

I'm from Manila and just copped mine which is the Kyrie Infinity "Balance" colorway. It really grows in me everyday how good of a shoe it is and about to test it this weekend😃

the "infinity symbol" or 8 is the whole silver piece if you look down on the shoe, which is why the x is on the tongue
Idk if anyone else noticed it, but I think extra material on the tongue is supposed to complete the infinity logo from the top-down view of the shoe. It’s a pretty nifty aesthetic if Im on the right train of thought lol

If you look at the silver lockdown thing from the front of the shoe and you include the one in the tongue it represents or draw a number 8 or infinity ♾

In general, I love the Kyrie - I think they typically look great and they fit my foot perfectly - I think they make a great court shoe
I really loved the 6, but the strap was a pain in the 4$$ - so the fact that it's gone from these, I'm so excited

Hi Chris, I think the silver part of the shoe is an infinity sign and it acts like a heel and lateral support. You'll see it if you look at it from the top.

By the way biggg fan since 2013 keep doing the great work currently on shoe rotation i have jordan 37 they have good traction good cushion but lack court feel also have lebron 20 great cushion great traction no court feel no ankle support so then took a chance on the kyrie 8 mid size great traction great cushion and court feel best shoe i have ever played in but if your a wide footer must up half a size also great materials very light weight

I was just about to ask about these since I just bought some.
I just relized the strap is actually looks like an infinity symbol, connected with those midfood x.
I think Chris didn't mention it, but the silver stripes actually form the infinity symbol
They made the forefoot lockdown to create an “8” shape together with the rear lockdown loop 8:30
These look nice but the fact that Kyrie himself hating on these are crazy.

Man the notion that high tops = ankle support is so annoying. In high school we all wanted the Kobe 6 as our team shoe but because one guy claimed he needed high tops to support his ankles we had to get some lame ass hypefuses 😑. I'm still grateful I was in a position to have a team shoe but the Kobe 6!!

Maybe Nike "rebranded" this as Kyrie Infinity because Kyrie Irving himself said the Kyrie 8's are trash and did not include him on the process of creating or designing this shoe.

i have a question, if you could rb that would be great. do you think its worth going up a full size in these exact pair, im a size 14, and they cost 400AUD, but if i went up a size, to size 15 theyre only 225AUD, which is a much more reasonable price for me. can i please have a recomendation? also, love the content.
