What an EXCELLENT video!! 💯👍🏻 A very, very REAL insight into a hands-on, working-man's tracking session. I totay feel & share those workflow, attitude and sound creation processes - always a pleasure to see Cameron at work! 👌🏼 Excellent mic choices, too... man, those Audio Technicas do their job fantastically well. And, of course, great band: well rehearsed and unfussy, and a really excellent drummer, with a kier snare! BTW gotta love the singer's "More cowbell" sketch reference when she tells the drummer to... "Explore the space". 🤭🤭🤠
great fun...and i hadda go track the vid down for my youtube axmass list....thanks Warren and Bite Me Bambi!! love that name by the way...happy holidays to all!! 😃😄💥🦌🦌
Haha I suppose you know Cameron is sitting directly behind the drummer and it moves from the view ion front of the drummer (obviously no room behind him) to the control room. It would be far worse to change it for every shot, that would be VERY confusing! Ha

Can't beat an SM57 on the snare and of course a D112 on kick. Good starting point
Perfect combination to start with@@spitfiremusic3997
Of course a good pair of condensers over the kit will work wonders!
All the usual suspects of course, 57, D112, U87 and modern substitutes of course
Everyone seems to be covering the bases. Lewitt, Mojave and Lauten all make amazing alternatives to the old favourite condensers!
What an EXCELLENT video!!

Those lyrics 🤌🏽. Also the sax player with the Circa Survive shirt 🤘🏽
Haha indeed!
I remember doing stuff like this when I recorded my old band in high school. Now I just edit with EZDrummer.
Haha nice! Great collection of gear you use of had during High School! Congratulations!
Oh heck no! I had a behringer mixer, old laptop, 2 sm57’s, 2 akg c1000’s and a bootleg copy of Acid Pro 4.0.
