Using HEVC/AAC (high efficiency video coding) is better than AVC/AAC (advanced video coding) since it's better encoding technology to MP4 format (final product is the same but encoding math is better)(I had some shenanigans about H.264 and 265 here deleted since I'm not entirely sure about them). Also utilizing your Nvidia graphics card via NV Encoder is better overall since it offloads lots of work to built-in chip called an ASIC that was made for it. Overall GPU usage may seem low (around 8 to 15%) but it's because ASIC is not shown in task manager graphs. This encoding method not just fastens rendering speed but helps your device stay cooler. Other 2 encoding methods use CPU only which is slower and may give your processor a little fever. Also be sure to set your GPU settings in your application preferences (older vegas versions also need checking "allow legacy GPU rendering" in general tab, even older versions used to have this option inside INTERNAL tab which is brought up using shift + click preferences and setting that option to TRUE). Hope this helps. :)
FPS selection contains preset options but there is nothing stopping you from clicking the box and set it yourself manually. The bit rate is tricky as it goes hand to hand with resolution. This makes the overall sharpness of the video but some people can see pixellation at lower rates and some don't.
The HEVC is rendering a lot slower than AVC. It's going to take over 20 minutes to render a 22 second clip. Is this normal? It's not using my graphics card (AMD), so... I'll let it render it out just so I can compare quality, but it now says it will take 30 minutes to finish rendering. I definitely won't be using HEVC again.
