- How is everyone, today I'm back with more overrated overedited showdown content most of you guys exclusively subbed and watch me for hoorayy!
I decided to try out a brilliant doubles strategy featuring Pokemon like Passimian and Azumarill. You might have seen this combo before this video so it might ruin the novelty effect of it, but idc I'm showing it off anyway because it's just that cool and deserves more spotlight!

I am not even a part of this gaming scene at all (never played Pokemon competitively, mainly for the base game), but was suggested by YT to watch these vids (algorithm I guess?).
I thoroughly enjoy their effort and the fun edits they make that when I try to watch similar videos but without the same amount of fun editing I just get bored 😂
I never get bored of watching these videos because the edits and memes alone keep me entertained

What is quick guard?

Henry Phillips quick guard is basically protect but it blocks priority moves, at least I think
So it basically acts like how Psychic Terrain or the abilities Queenly Majesty/Dazzling except as a move
@@Crazyander55 Not only that, as you could see in the video it's 100% spammable every turn so used correctly it's a powerful tool (again as shown by Weedle)
Even without surprise factor, I’m pretty sure this strat will hold merit: turn 1 quad damage is hard to ignore

Its not hard
Azumarill is a slow and weak pokemon
Passiamian without defiance can be easily intimidated turn one
You just need a strong one to attack azumarill(like rillaboom) and an intimidate for passiamian

It's a super strong tech and neat idea, but now that it's more well known and passimian is a mid speed tier it's much harder to pull off xD

I think like 7/10 of my battles involve the opponent using expanding force or grassy glide

Sungura Kaiser I was about to say that it has simian in its name so I think it’d be fine to call it a monkey, but then I looked it up and it turns out that Passimian’s name is actually a play on prosimian, which include lemurs, lorises, etc., and not just simian. It's amazing how many toxic players the OU format attracts, so it's nice to actually see some people who don't immediately start losing their head when a team of off-tiers starts tearing apart the strategy they worked so hard to copy-paste off Smogon.
Uu is actually so chill and has a really diverse meta from what I’ve seen so I recommend just heading down there instead

@@oofjeff3735 I guess that D-Max lizard could outspeed and OHKO the Choice Scarf Azumarill before it explodes, but that doesn't stop Passimian from gaining Huge Power.
You could use Damp, preventing pokemon from using suicide moves, which means no Misty Explosion, no huge power and no weakness policy for passimian (Less somethin else somehow happens)
I like team explanations like you did at the end of this video, and i think it's a good way to get newer players to understand the game more too. If you're able to, i'd like to see explanations of the teams you use in previous videos as well, especially the ones that you dont leave the stats in the description

You know, I like Pokemon because psych games, multiple layered plans and prediction. Something that you can otherwise only see in really good Animes to this extent, because it's just so ridiculously big brain.
Your channel just has it all and finding out which trump you've got up your sleeve each time makes those videos so good.
Going against a Pokémon that are good for themselves is one thing.
Going against a team that has a plan behind it is beyond Legendary Pokémon.
Chances are my team is really bad compared to these since they mostly have moves that defend each other, though I give Pokémon roles like my Starmie is the one that can take punches and my Raichu is the Electric Terrain runner with Rising Voltage (I prefer accuracy over power and Rising Voltage does more damage than Thunderbolt since the terrain nerfs to 1.3x power instead of 1.5x).
Keep doing what you do man. Love your content, and I love the smell of salt in the morning.
