You ve done it again , brought tears to my ,eyes , with this classic , which meant so much to me ! The first time I heard this , wonderfull ,tune ,was Sunday night at the LONDON PALLADIUM , on black and white T,V, , it made my day , when I learn t , how to play it ! thanks Geoff , for taking us back , for a walk in our youth ! days when we dreamed of getting a strat , but setteled for a Watkins rapier ,on hp , £33 , and done a paper round before school and delivery boy , with a bike and a big straw basket afterwards ! It set me up for a good work ethic and a life of NOISE , ha , ha , I still raise my hat to you and Bernard , for the life / dreams we shared in our own worlds , and the joy of sharing positive things with the world ! magic mate ritchie .
It all started for me, with the Bert Weedon play-in-a day book, Ritchie, which i still have, I'm on page 3, but he wasn't cool like The Shadows! I had a Watkins 10W Amp, but couldn't afford the Rapier! Lol. My dad loaned me the cash, to buy a homemade strat copy, which had an assortment of pick-ups, no radius to the neck, and a Bigsby trem. There was a crack in the body which would open and close if you used it! Happy days! With the current state of what is going on in the UK, i find myself more and more going down memory lane, and one day i will probably stay there! Lol. Cheers mate! Geoff.
