Self Sustainable Living. Permaculture and Homesteading, It Takes Years

No one ever starts the journey to self sustainability with all the knowledge they need. It is a journey of trial and error. We have been on this property close to seven years and we are just really getting to the point where we are getting ahead of the game. It takes a lot of effort, time, money, and endurance. Don't let any of those channels that make it appear easy fool you. Homesteading, permaculture, and self sustainability is a dynamic process and you can never fully conquer it. So many times there are setbacks which you could never have planned for or controlled for, but, BUT, after time, you will get better at it. In navigating the hardships, one day you will start to see yourself making headways, and then, the rewards of your hard work start to happen. That becomes a satisfaction that makes homesteading the addiction that most of us in this lifestyle strive for and seek out.
