    Loved this. It could be said programs tend to favor NVIDIA as well. I do not do heavy video editing. Just simple stuff really. But having a program that works well with your hardware makes a huge difference. I went from using Camtasia which took forever to render or even just ingest media. To Premier Pro which runs smooth as can be with my NVIDIA card.
    I do not play the latest games, I play at 1080p with a 165hz monitor, I mainly just play CSGO and sometimes world of warships. maybe some much older games at times. And I currently run a GTX 970 with 4gb of vram. I think a 4060 is a reasonable upgrade for me.

    4060 is better, you are playing 300 for good Ray tracing, Dlss, good driver updates. Not for 10 to 15 more fps with most of the things broken. Go with RTX 4060.

      The vast majority of people with AMD cards aren't going to experience driver issues. It's just that the percentage of people who do is much higher when compared to Nvidia. Some people make too big of a deal of AMD drivers, and admittedly I may have put too much of an emphasis on them in this video. It's just when they happen and your games are crashing it can really suck, especially if youre getting crashes in competitive multiplayer games. I still recommend AMD cards, I think 7 of my last 8 build guides have had AMD cards, because the value is generally super solid.

    The problem with this review is that you didn’t use any titles that stress the Vram hard enough. Cyberpunk was the closest but you only really see vram problems when you turn on rt in that game. Hogwarts Legacy, Last of Us, and Jedi Survivor really eat up Vram and would have shown what 8 vs 12 really does.

    • @kaanbolat2403

      @@kaanbolat2403 Just because Nvidia told you its a 1080p card doesnt mean it is a 1080p card. It has the horse power to drive 1440p, as seen in this video, but is gimped by its pcb and vram. If it had 12gb of Vram, for 350$, a lot of people would be lining up to buy it.

      @@mr.josephstalin Again like I said in my previous reply. Just because Nvidia purposely gimped the card to be worse at higher resolutions and gaslight you into thinking its a 1080p card doesnt make it a 1080p card. If the 6700xt is a 300$ 1440p card vs the 4060 and the main difference is vram, why couldnt they add more vram? It would cost them like 20$ to add more pcb length and vram and make it like a 3060. Instead the 3060 beats the 4060 in some titles because of this. Next thing you are going to tell me is that the 4070 ti is a 1440p card that cost 900$ just because Nvidia said so

  • @bizbarley74

    Seen this test done between these two cards on both PC Builder with Jason and Gamers Nexus, and the only place the 4060 really shined was with RT on, which is a feature I never use, otherwise the 6700 XT was the clear winner, as 8gbs of VRAM just ain't cutting it on AAA titles on high or ultra settings. In fact, Gamers Nexus showed certain titles beating the 4060 with the 3060 Ti installed. And on a side note, that Intel stock cooler IMO is extremely poor, especially compared to the wraith coolers that come with Ryzen CPUs. There are two coolers you can buy for around $30 that will massively increase temps, and in both of the other video tests I spoke of, after market cooling was used on the i5. So that could have factored into it a bit. But 6700 XT all the way with the extra VRAM. And finally, for me, AMD has always done a good job at fixing bugs in their GPUs with driver updates. Sure it can be a pain because there are so many of them, but on their website they pledge support for the 6000 series cards for years to come. At least that's what they say. My 7900 XT has been keeping pace with my buddies RTX 4080 to great extent, and he paid double what I paid new. Just my two cents.

      Absolutely my man. Even Jayztwocents at the time made a vid where in he first minute he said: "TLDR buy the 6700xt over the 4060".
      I love watching Jason from PC builder too.
      And when Matt talked about AMDs poor drivers that let me down a bit, this isnt 2019, the drivers (many reviewers say) are on par with Nvidia's.

    • @bizbarley74
      @bizbarley74 10 месяцев назад

      @@thefilthycasual448 It's just so crazy. Back in 2020-2021, I never installed or recommended to my customers a non Nvidia GPU. However, for the last year, I've never recommended a Nvidia GPU. And I've only installed them under protest. Like I recently had a contract with a local university. They were expanding their computer science department and requested i9 13900s and RTX 4090s, so in that isolated circumstance, I agreed. Especially because I was taking money from a wealthy college and not an individual. But otherwise, I always push my customers from Nvidia. Unless they are not on a budget and say they want the best. Know what I mean?
