When you realize arvens team is the pokemon he caught while traveling with you to fight the titans, his team is literally the friends he made along the way lol
Watching you realize slowly over the run that the new pokemon *can* evolve and that you were fighting with babies most of the time....yeah, that's the stuff.

You can definitely tell when someone's playing a game for the fun of it and when somebody's doing it for the content. Unfortunately the latter just isn't fun to watch.
The designs are incredible, but the teams... That's pretty much the whole game. Looks great, but the childrens game is too easy for grown adults with functioning brains though.

I mean, they didn’t add content that has been consistently in the series since the first game. Makes the world seem empty. Lumiose and Castelia would seem far less exciting if you couldn’t enter buildings, this definitely applies to the small towns too.
You can clear the game just fine in previous titles even without those items you get from npc, so it's not like the items are very important. Besides, random houses aren't just there for items, it's just basic exploration that literally every rpg should have. It's obvious that they cut it out because GF weren't competent enough to fit them in

Legends Arceus, while the towns were smaller, still had you be able to enter nearly every building. They clearly still have the technology and skill, they just either lacked the drive, the time, or the intention to ever do it this time around.

And yes I know I don't have to talk to every npc but I never used the internet for info so I didn't want to miss anything cool or important. I wish they added more significant NPC'S without there being a lot of them like in Legends Arceus but I'm fine not going in every house. I don't think they have to be evil but they should be more intresting. I think the only intresting rival team has been from gen 5 all others kinda suck in plot and characters. I'd be fine with Pokemon cutting out that story beat completely it felt so forced in gen 9. I think a lot of ppl were uninterested in starfall street when it came to picking the paths.

I mean "Cs get degrees" is a good mantra for the type of person who beats themselves up if they don't get an A+ for every single thing, and will end up in a downward spiral if they ever start to struggle at all. But yeah, it shouldn't be what you set out to aim for. Especially since the questions in the Elite 4 are super easy and he just sounded petty at that point, complaining that he had to get the easy questions right XD
I loved the pokemon in the overworld, but I was so sad that you couldn't go into most of the buildings, and even the shops were just menus. :( Maybe the next game will be better about that.
I know this is just beating a dead horse at this point, but it really is hard to believe this game was developed for the same console as Tears of the Kingdom.
ToK had like 10 years in production, launching quite a few years after the previous one. Meanwhile pokemon gets more or less yearly releases. So... that's what you get when you don't give things time to get properly made and polished, and instead you just milk a franchise dry. From what I've read, Scarlet only had 3 years in development, same with Arceus. That's all Game Freak gives it, and it shows.
And yet people still buy games of this quality at full price, some buys the double pack even. They don't even need to polish these games for them to sell, which is just sad
The main trainer model looks like a generic NPC and unquestionably looks like a very young child. At least have crazy anime hair! Also, the "legendaries" don't look or feel legendary. All prior had reality breaking powers, not sure if the ones from Sword and Shield count. These games' legendaries are just glorified gliders, bikes, and boats.
I mean, the legendaries aren't really legendary at all, that's the point. Koraidon and Miraidon are past and future versions of Cyclizar- in the past and future you could assume there are plenty of them, a populace similar to that of a normal pokemon. Also, to say all prior legendaries had reality breaking powers is actually just wrong. Reshiram, Zekrom and Kyurem are just exceptionally powerful pokemon of alien origin, Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza are literally just weather creatures who can shift the land-earth balance, Yveltal and Xerneas, whilst incredibly powerful, are simply representations of life and death. Legendaries so powerful that they could be considered Gods or Godlike are a rather rare minority.

I'm not real; just got 55 hours in Tears of the Kingdom and no dungeons done.
