Everything about this was hugely enjoyable. The box is incredible but the editing, music and your sense of humour was just superb. Thank you so much for sharing. I get so much enjoyment and motivation out of your videos.
Seems like you were in a happy mood when you made this video. That positive energy transfers through the screen. Regarding design there are some basic concepts. It’s not all taste as one may think. You have successfully identified some of those basic concepts through intuition it seems. Very enjoyable.
This channel is certainly evolving, and I'm enjoying the ride. The middle part of this video was just awesome. I'm loving that you're letting all the weird out. The music, editing, and jokes were all a blast. Thanks for letting us in on the eggs. That would have had me up all night wondering.
the fact that you arent at 2m subscribers and over 300k views on every video is criminal. theyre stunning works, intricate methods that people dont even attempt much less pull off, theyre handmade, theyre creative, and mostly theyre clearly made with pride. everything you make is awesome, hopefully one day i can get to this level or even close.
I literally watch every single one of your videos and there has always been something about your personality that I find similar to mine but I could never place it until now. When you answered the question of how you get so many things accomplished, it made all the sense. That thing makes a world of difference for me and also allows me to elevate my design process, and then execute my over zealousness. My wife hates me during the building process but always comes around when she sees the finished piece. Thank you again for yet another entertaining video that is also packed with inspiration. I can't wait to see the Roubo build. *Please don't incorporate an epoxy river into it.
Haha I would never! Dude that’s one of the better things that’s happened in life. It’s nice to have the drive. The more you do, the more you want to do.
As a beginner I love watching your videos so I know what a true craftsman can do. I hope to get to your level one day. Awesome design and build. Love your videos.
Love your videos, keep up the great work. The commentary about your process and ideas is what makes your channel so unique and refreshing. There’s not many woodworking channels devoted to the art of the craft and your videos are just as much a work of art as your pieces!
That was awesome!! It amazes me when I see people like you with the imagination and talent to create such wonderful things with wood. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!!!! waiting for the next video can not be soon enough.
Beautiful piece, thanks for sharing. I also love your passion for veneering! Never before seen someone veneer their finger with a band aid and blood for glue.
Awesome job!!!! You keep pushing the bar higher😁 After 25 years of smoking I stopped but definitely still a fan, might pick it up again later. If I get cancer a third time I will definitely be smoking through Chemotherapy again. You got me to laugh with the fart noise🤣 I like your humor Nick😁 the 90's had the best music of course 😉 my jaw dropped when you presented your workbench sketches😛😛. Put rubo it the title if you want but I wouldn't, might need some time to think of what to name it but it's definitely deserving of a new title in my opinion😁as for the split top or solid top my vote is solid top👍go massachusm😁👍👍👍
It's amazing to see not only your projects get better and better but also your filming and editing. I love both you styles and how they play into each other! You are the most entertaining videos I watch and I always look forward to them coming out.
This box is the inspiration for my next box design. Mine is done with paint, clay, stencil, you name it, on old 70’s jewelry boxes. Thank you for the inspiration!
Awesome video and project. As others have said, your videos are well produced and the music is tasteful and adds to the transitions. I like your design aesthetic. I came to your channel after you posted the McDonald's... uh... I mean Bridge Arch Roubo on the r/Workbenches subreddit. I'll say I"m an old guy and I love it, so you're not pissing all of us off by breaking the mold! I love your use of arches. Straight lines can be nice but tastefully done curves take it to the next level, IMHO.
That bench gonna be a bomb , i can understand how design make the process much more complicated but reward is so satisfying, do you also just sit and stare your project after completing just to replay the story for the design how it began and how it is looking way more beautiful than you thought in your mind.
Beautiful box. The roubo bench, if you build it so you can see the arch through the split that make it a split top. If not than go solid top with a different color wood in the middle to represent the lines that divide the road since it looks like a bridge.
Hey man, can you do some patterned plywood??? Please believe me when I say I was joking!!! Great job! Another piece of art. Since I'm not a designer, I can't tell you how many good ideas I've gotten from you by watching your videos. Thank you for sharing so many different, complicated projects. Your use of complex angles & curves is a welcome change from all the other cookie cutter channels.
Your motto is basically “no risk, no reward”. It actually gives me a bit of anxiety watching you make cuts on pieces with hours and hours of work into them. Better you than me haha. Always enjoyable. Thanks. - Dave
Absolutely stunning work from all the artists! And I'm really enjoying your videos as much as the builds. Whoever ended up with that box set is one VERY lucky person! Can't wait for the split top Sawyer, eventhough I think it should be a solid top!
That is one dope build. The angled dovetails are blowing my mind! Love the workhandling solution for the drawers to get the piston fit. Might steal that. Do a solid top, with a slim tool well added, but use a spacer to get you the split. Hope that makes sense. Just recently found your channel, but quickly became one of my favorites. You have some amazing pieces and your video production is on point. Great work!
Really loved this episode! Not only because this piece is fantastic but also because you seemed to have a lot of fun with it and there was a lot of great jokes :D
Love , love that stash box. Now I know where you get your inspiration. What is it with wives and snoring anyway, that must be why I enjoy a few shots of Bourbon before bet and ear plugs. Love your sense of humor... suttle but on point. Its good to laugh with or at you. Band-Aids so true! Keep up the amazing work.
Cool idea, and great execution of that idea, Nick! I agree with others in that your delivery, & humor, coupled with greeeat music even makes it more enjoyable to watch! Create a playlist of your music so we can ALL work to your beat!
That is really cool!!! I love the veneer! And those angles! That's amazing! 🙂 FYI - There is some dispute over which city in the United States can claim the nickname of the City of Bridges. Portland, Oregon, claims the name in honor of the 12 bridges in the city limits that span the Willamette River, according to Open Oregon. While Portland's bridges are well-traveled, those 12 bridges pale in comparison with fellow contender Pittsburgh. The Pennsylvania city disputes Portland's claim to be the City of Bridges. They want the nickname for themselves, according to WBUR, because of the 446 bridges crisscrossing the Pittsburgh city limits.
Not surprised! Another excellent video! Way to step up your videos and music while your working! I do a lot of woodworking. But I’ve never done any lamination. Every time I watch your channel, it inspires me to try it. I’m looking for a good vacuum system. I really like how you can make a simple box with drawer. And I’m completely amazed. Your the one channel that I wished you would put out a new video every day. From Indiana, best wishes and prayers!
stunning design Nick... My mentor used veneer almost exclusively. The exotic grain and cost effective approach to design lends it self to veneer. Well done. I picked up a few tips I'm gonna have to put to use.
My favorite wood in the world is Macassar Ebony. I’ve built a lot out of it in solid lumber (the stuff is SOOOO heavy and dense) but never tried veneer! Great stuff!!
When you have a sweet glass collection such as that, you need the proper case/box. Your box beats the pants off the glass industry standard issue plastic gun case. More blowers should take the hint!
Enjoyed the build brother. Ordering AG was actually on my list of things to do today and I was super stoked to not just cross that off my list and help the channel out at the same time. Keep grinding brother.
what a joy to watch! do you perhaps have a vid where you show that vertical jig for your Domino DF500? That looks like a awesome jig to make. Thanks for your awesome vids, keep up the good work 👍
I like Andrew Kleins bench with split top, complemented by a movable center piece. It can be a split top, solid top or ithat center board can be moved up half an inch, so it creates a stop in the middle to rest or wedge your workpiece against.
I absolutely love the functional borosilicate glass scene. Sick to see a little cross over. I myself have spent way too much money on glass hahaha Might need to get such a nice box myself ;)
Taking AG-1 is a great idea. But the symptoms you listed suggest more is going on then just lacking certain vitamins. You should also look at your diet and do a food sensitivity intolerance test. Sometimes you can vastly improve your health and mood, by removing foods you have a high intolerance or sensitivity to.
Awesome build as usual. I dig all your content. But I am wondering what music did you use for this vid with the hard base? It got my feet moving in the shop, n wood love more. Thanks!!
0:06 Not many people know that "Macassar ebony and Borosilicate glass" were the original lyrics to the well known Paul McCartney/Michael Jackson hit song, but it did'nt fit into the meter of the song. Jackson only sang in imperial, and McCartny in metric.
Man, that is one HAWT box! Love the design and the wood choices! Craftsmanship is stellar as usual. Can't wait to see the Sawyer bench. I say solid top. Also plz more fart jokes.
You pay such attention to details and dovetails - sorry, that was bad 😉 Truly, you are amazingly gifted!! How long did this piece take to build? Your sense of humor is another gift!! You are blessed! Thank you for these videos - these beautiful designs! 🌟👍❤
Thanks Dianne! I spent a little over a week on this one. Then editing was another 40 hrs 😵💫 haha getting a little faster on both fronts every time. Having sponsor deadlines definitely helps
Beautiful box, love how intricate your process is 👌🏻 Split top with removable insert that’s solid on one face and has a shallow tool well on the other, if that makes sense 🤷🏻♂️
Wouldn't expect the average user of glass pipes to bother with a fancy box for them. It's a great box and I hope it doesn't end up in a homeless guy's shopping cart.
Everything about this was hugely enjoyable. The box is incredible but the editing, music and your sense of humour was just superb. Thank you so much for sharing. I get so much enjoyment and motivation out of your videos.
Love to hear it! Thanks so much!
200 board-feet of walnut = $1,200?
sheep and balloon fart sounds from opening vacuum bag = priceless
Seems like you were in a happy mood when you made this video. That positive energy transfers through the screen.
Regarding design there are some basic concepts. It’s not all taste as one may think. You have successfully identified some of those basic concepts through intuition it seems. Very enjoyable.
Bro, as soon as you said "Psy Trance" I subbed. Your the only woodworker on YT that plays EDM in your videos.
Split top with a solid, removable insert. The curves will be a welcomed design.
Seconded.
The woodworking community is one of the most wholesome on RUclips, change my mind
There is no shame today. I like ceremonial glass flutes and love the music they play!
This channel is certainly evolving, and I'm enjoying the ride. The middle part of this video was just awesome. I'm loving that you're letting all the weird out. The music, editing, and jokes were all a blast. Thanks for letting us in on the eggs. That would have had me up all night wondering.
Hey thanks so much Elon! Glad you’re enjoying as I learn more how to video

Beautiful table… I have table envy.
Very nice box. Looking forward to the Solid to bench.
You got me with the FART. 😂
Dope box.
Split top, but with an insert that can make it a solid surface
As a beginner I love watching your videos so I know what a true craftsman can do. I hope to get to your level one day. Awesome design and build. Love your videos.
It's a pleasure to see you work and see the beautiful pieces you make....what a great imagination to make those projects, I love them
I need to introduce you to good 60’s and 70’s classic rock…. Good stuff Nick!!
Haha as long as there isn’t any words! Thanks Dave
For 3 years in your skills are awesome. I like your humour who doesn’t enjoy a good laugh. Thanks for sharing love your channel.
Love your videos, keep up the great work. The commentary about your process and ideas is what makes your channel so unique and refreshing. There’s not many woodworking channels devoted to the art of the craft and your videos are just as much a work of art as your pieces!

Glad you liked it!

This project was amazing!! Beautiful design and build!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
This box is the inspiration for my next box design. Mine is done with paint, clay, stencil, you name it, on old 70’s jewelry boxes. Thank you for the inspiration!
Just as sweet at it gets!
Super dope video and box man. I have to say The Sawyer bench should be a solid top.
That bench is going to be incredible.
Split top, with a hand tool storage insert in the gap. Then you can have the best of both worlds
Awesome video and project. As others have said, your videos are well produced and the music is tasteful and adds to the transitions. I like your design aesthetic. Beautiful box. The roubo bench, if you build it so you can see the arch through the split that make it a split top. If not than go solid top with a different color wood in the middle to represent the lines that divide the road since it looks like a bridge.
Fantastic, Nick! Amazing work! 😃
The box turned out beautiful!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Awesome looking piece!!
Bloody marvellous 👏

Hey thanks so much Neil!
Solid top, no question.....cool box bro !!! Beautiful design detail ...less is more my friend !! 🙂
Music and editing is BANGING
Really loved this episode! Not only because this piece is fantastic but also because you seemed to have a lot of fun with it and there was a lot of great jokes :D

7:06 You're right, it does feel like tradition now.
Dude you’re incredibly talented, love this video and everything about it all! 🙌
Glad you enjoyed man! Means a ton from someone with your skill!
So much sass in this video, I love it!
Beautiful as always. I am more for a split top. I am so excited to see your spin on the Roubo.
This is the way! Nice
I know you were taught to cut away from yourself. Lol. Truly enjoy your work. Keep it up!
That’s one very beautiful cabinet. But fact checkers say that Pittsburgh Pennsylvania is the city of bridges with 436 bridges.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! That fart dub had me dying!!!!!
Man I would buy a "not your fingers not your problem" shirt so fast. Drop that merch, love the content.
Haha don’t worry, I’m working on that!
No way. So beautiful !
Amazing work. Split top for the Sawyer bench definitely
My favorite wood in the world is Macassar Ebony. I’ve built a lot out of it in solid lumber (the stuff is SOOOO heavy and dense) but never tried veneer! Great stuff!!
Really nice piece bro, looking forward to the split top sawyer bench. What man doesn't love curves like that 👌

Eggcellent stash box. I really like your work allot.
Much appreciated Alan!
Us 80s kids listened to 70s rock. 🙃
Great video, the music really kept me on your video... i typically don't last past 15 minutes but before I knew it the video was over.

Great video and project but I don't like to wear my Rolex in the shop. Ha Ha!
Stunning- must admit I thought there were way too many design elements happening there, but it all came together. Great job
I really like the double curve in the bent form in baltic
I absolutely love the functional borosilicate glass scene. Sick to see a little cross over. I myself have spent way too much money on glass hahaha Might need to get such a nice box myself ;)
great channel, very informative, keep it up. Nice greetings from Germany!!

Very beautiful
You could buy some random brand of greens, or get moringa olifera leaf powder. Then add a little ginger, turmeric and black pepper. You’re welcome.
man you at these angled/curve designs!! Ad yes...Psytrance nah. Phish, Medeski Martin & Wood, Goose
Perfect!
I love your videos.

😂 wow! What a fun fact! Lol
Dude. Video editing on point, music on point. Kept me engaged the whole way though. Oh, and the build is pretty cool too!
Solid!
us 80's people also had Real Metal and so some of us missed the main steam garbage.
Sneak peak looks more like a Moravian meets English joiners bench.
Man, that is one HAWT box! Love the design and the wood choices! Craftsmanship is stellar as usual. Can't wait to see the Sawyer bench. I say solid top. Also plz more fart jokes.
Thanks Donny!
Loved the clip and am interested in getting one of those vacuum bags. Any ideas where these can be had.

Split top with removable insert that’s solid on one face and has a shallow tool well on the other, if that makes sense 🤷🏻♂️
15:18 - when the Doom music kicks in 😎
It DOES make it more interesting!
I dig it too. 👍
Split top. also the arc feet need to be flush with the outer edge of the table for better clamping
Eggs, easy over, on top of corned beef hash,,,,,, thats what I had for lunch! Just incase you wanted to know LOL
I vote solid top bench with matching / complimentary tool caddy. Beautiful work as always
Solid top is my preference.
I'm a New Fan..Love your work..
Hey thanks so much!
