its a 100% wool roller cover people, they always sound like that, cover more and splatter way less (if at all) than the $5.99 polyester blend your used to. They start at roughly $13 for a 9", clean easier and last longer. When i worked in paint this is how we instructed people to paint, albeit not as fast. In fact, the back of paint cans used to tell you to use an "M" or "W" pattern and fill in.
@@jsalcido8425 if you want good coverage, use a quality paint (benjamin moore, kelly-moore, sherwin williams from the sherwin williiams store noT Lowe's --its not the same formula, PPG, etc) what you save in money you pay out in time on applying 2-3 more coats & cleaning your tools. A 100% lambswool roller cover (has a leather core) will release paint onto the wall better than the cheap polyester covers. It's like painting with hair vs painting with a cotton rag as far as absorption is concerned. You lose a LOT of paint in cheap covers..

I really like KM for interior ceiling (1055 i think is the number it's a flat-flat white for ceiling that diffuses light. aka hides imperfections & doesn't flash) and exterior. And BM Regal for interior. Good luck on your next project.

For decades Ive been using the same copper pipe cutter, and just recently I changed the blade. I paused the video as I had to run into the home depot buy a blade, install new blade. So I watched the rest of the video only ti find out that the cutter I have comes with an extra spare blade in plain eye view. See if you can find yours. PS : not sure if all brands have them

Not to mention applying that much pressure to a wall is not proper. You do this and the fibers get matted and the edges of each stroke will be thicker than the inside of each stroke.
Thank you for sharing this. Some professionals will take their time, have so many breaks and act like painting is one of the hardest job out there… they can charge so much that many people are turning to DIY

He completely left the roller dry, but this is good enough for a skim coat. Second coat would be still necessary, though. I prefer to keep my brush and roller always wet! This way I achieving full coverage with one coat. 18” rollers are awesome, almost as quick if not quicker as a sprayers!
Hello sir Professional painter here and painting business owner of 5 years. Gonna need a second coat I can already see imperfections sooooooo…2 mins ?? For 1 wall not including dry time so 32mins but ..non the less extremely fast and efficient good job man!!!! Better than most painters I work with
And let’s just forget all the other steps you have to go through, masking off, cutting in, room for errors, and possibly spread it out too thin with one coat

What an amazing job, but honestly that paint roller is so good. Like it deposited the right amount of paint, without leaving drips and most importantly didn't need a refill midway through
@@rainrivera7184 there’s a certain point where you have to dip the roller in paint again, you don’t want to use all of the paint. You can hear when you need more paint, and you should never have to press very hard, cuz once you have to press hard then you should get more paint

I've tried this several times and the paint splatter from moving the roller that fast is unreal. I don't recommend it at all

I could trim that wall in about 15 -20 minutes and im pretty slow.

I bought an 18” roller. While it’s awesome and cuts down time. It’s heavy and more overspray.

It's a Wooster pole as well. I like the purdy poles better tho and they lock onto the purdy frames so they don't come loose while you're painting.
